Its actually a great feature, when you get it
figured out. I created a solid and extruded bosses out of it in all directions, then created WCS's all over it. It gave me a good
understanding of how to really make it work.
You'll wonder where its been all your life

What kind of cut are you taking?
If your profiling take very shallow depth
of cut w/ multiple passes. I would also use
Some sort of cutting fluid (not coolant).
If you can use the Ramp toolpath in contour
set the ramp angle as shallow as possible.

I believe what you want is to turn on the filter ratio in the total tolerance box. And toggle the box "create arcs in x-z".Let us know what happens. PEACE

I have been trying to explain to the owner of my company as to how and why I use fixture offsets. This guy just does not get it. He does not understand why a person simply can not draw a part in MC and then program it and then send it to the machine without even caring as to WHERE the part is located on the screen. This sounds outrageous, but I am having to deal with this now!!!!
My question to the forum members is, do any of you have any documentation that explains thoroughly as to how/why/when/where a machinist needs to use fixture offsets?
I simply tell my boss "OK"
And usually he's off on his way.
How you doing James? I feel like i already know you. James "JIMMY" Gable was a student of yours
and mine last year.We worked together F#%@^# Molds in walnut w/ m.metzinger and fusion.
Jimmy had nothing but good things to say about you. Pleasure to finally meet you.
I'm a moderator on cnczone which is where i met Jay.

My previous employer used net hasp.
It works great since we had six boxes but
only three seats. It would hang up once
in awile but all they needed to do was
reboot the server(maybe twice in a couple yrs.)
Hey Matthew,
How you doing buddy? Have you tried not using rough toolpaths? Or only selecting the surfaces
you need to machine?, instead of an entire solid.
E-mail me and let me know how it goes.
PEACE
Dave and Rek'd....

Being my first post then. Jay told me to stop being a looky-loo and start posting. Usually everyone replies so quick theres not enough time.
