  1. When you install the net hasp server off the disk it creates a directory something like c:nethaspserver. Look in that directory for a file called lmsetup.exe run that then set it to run as a service (provided your running NT or W2K or XP). That should fix up your issue. HTH
  2. Das computin' machine is nitch fer jer workin by dumkuf, Is easy to broke the springworks. Keepin da hands in pockets and watchn' da blinkin lights. I saw this sign on machine somewhere. Allan
  3. You can only update the NetHASP from the nethasp server. The update is only done thru a file no codes to type in. Launch the nhasp9 utility on the net hasp server set the net hasp to nethasp local then choose update code file and show it your code file. HTH
  4. SquattingDragonHiddenEmailAllcapsPostSeeker Check here for free 5 axis posts Thanks for reading the FAQ
  5. I've been asked about this more than once... The aplication was always a feed screw. Allan
  6. I would think the "number of threads" you want would be a function of the number of threads per inch times the length of the thread. I assume the user joliver to be asking about a multi-start thread... Could be wrong, so i edited my reply to include the posibility that they were asking about a variable pitch thread. Allan
  7. Yes, Number of starts > 1 Look on the third page (I think) of the parameters. If your looking to change the pitch, no easy way I know of. HTH [ 05-07-2003, 04:19 PM: Message edited by: Allan ]
  8. Fplot.dll Look in your C-Hook Directory for this file, there is a document to go along with it that has a short explination of how it works. I have used this file for producing a parabolic curve generated by a quadratic equ. It souds like this might be what you are looking for. HTH
  9. The control works in remote mode only you need to select the file to recieve at the control. No sending from the computer, only requesting at the control end. HTH
  10. quote: I have heard of a control that will be able to read/create arc toolpaths' say at a 45 degree surfacing toolpath. I can't remember which it was though. Sounds like a Siemans Control, the trick here is that the plane needs to be defined in the code before the arc. Here is a blurb from Northwood Designs the makers of MetaCut Finish quote: Arcs may be fit in one of three methods: 1) relative to the standard orthogonal planes (XY,XZ,YZ). 2) relative to any rotation of the standard orthogonal plane. 3) to completely arbitrary planes (3D arcs). Almost all controls will machine arcs using the first method, some controls will allow method number 2, and a few controls are able to machined true 3D arcs. (*note- a 3D arc is not a helix). HTH
  11. I've got a customer using the LSV2 protocol on there Dialog 11. Incedently Cimco is the only product that works on this control IMHO I've tried Multi-DNC they claimed it worked it does'nt tried Predator NO_GO. Cimco, "It just works." What type of problems are you having? I believe the cable is a hardware handshake type HTH
  12. There is a very good document in the startmenu ,programs, mastercam >what's new in Wire 9.1. It will explain all about the new features in Wire HTH
  13. That backplot looked funny. The contour type was incorectly set to a 3D Contour, changed to 2D, then I regened, still no good. Changed to rotary axis positioning set the axis to Y, then changed to Axis substution...All is well. File is on the FTP. DRUM_ALLAN.MC9 HTH
  14. To borrow a solution from Bullines, Simple fix: 1. Using IE, copy all of the code. 2. Paste it into Word 3. Copy it from Word and paste it into Notepad.

  16. Kosher, Judasim 101 This web site or (sight for some of you) should answer your questions on what Kosher is.
  17. In "basically stays the same" does Z move at all? Sound's like you need to select the depth to incremental, absolute depths are just that "absolute". HTH
  18. In the global drafting parameters there is an Architectural format choice. This will make the drafting dimensions make sense. As far as the units in MC there are only two. Inches and millimeters, the scale function could help you there. HTH
  19. The drillcyc variable can sometimes achieve what your after. For Tapping it will be 3. You could use some logic like if drillcyc = 3, panyblock HTH
  20. I think you are refering to the High Feed Button. There is a folder in mcam9 that has a power point file that explans what it does. Basicaly it looks at material removal rates as well as what the machine is capable of (for accuracy) and adjusts code for feed rates. HTH
  21. Surface rough pocket, the sharp corner at the large end of the large cone will require die sinking to produce. File is here called CFISH_ALLAN.MC9 HTH Allan
  22. If your saying the controler will not execute a sutible caned cycle (Return to R plane between pecks). Look in the post for usecanpeck change it to no. HTH Allan
  23. Or you could edit the post to say "spaces = 0" without the quotes of course. Allan
  24. While the chg levels is one method of setting up the drawing. You could use the enity atribute manager in V9 to set all the levels up at once. In V8 you could use the sortiges chook it is configured using the sortiges.dat text file...check it out. HTH Allan
