  1. I use parallel cuts with spiral for the cut method.....
  2. I found a workaround. Xform rotate instead of mirror.....
  3. Mirroring the path (transform) resulted in conventional cutting. That is why I mirrored the geo instead. Thanks all for the replies. I will send to QC at the end of the day if ya'll can't help me get it.
  4. That is the first thing I checked, they are pointing into the center of the pocket, and the floor normal is pointing up.
  5. This might help. LOL!
  6. Morning all, See the attached file, the first swarf is looking great, I told it to make a .003" rad in the corners and it is perfect, nice smooth motion. So I mirrored my surfaces, copied the toolpath, then re-selected the new geo. The new path (#2) gets all funky in the corners, not the same as the original. What am I missing. TIA!
  7. I am here at the tech center.... waiting patiently for all to arrive!
  8. play with preserve z passes and the offset type... I'm having dejavu......
  9. Wow, she sure is doing well! I know all about the "priority changes", just had my 4th "priority changer" LOL.
  10. Sorry Yankee fan, I struck through your "expect" and replaced it with "hope". Didn't mean to mislead.
  11. John, should I also send mine? I thought the issue was just me.... I am actually having a spaceclaim guy look into the part for me... We are simply trying to make a usable solid out of a 1.7 MB STL that came from Mcam verify....
  12. Do you have a file to share? Play with "Preserve Z passes" and/or the "offset method".
  13. Split the op into sections (multiple operations) with containment boundaries.... then use convert to 5 on each of those.... (You can save the source op as geo, then use that geo to help you create perfect containments....)
  14. IIRC, trimming eliminates lead in/out. Can you use a containment boundary instead?
  15. I didn't even post mine.... it skips the lead in on the finish passes.... For some reason (no idea why), I always ramp with 1 op, then finish with another operation......
  16. If you know the distance and rotation you want, could this be handled (one time deal of course) with a post edit.
  17. I don't think that option exist in the new path. It will only let you use a positive number for "floor clearance".
  18. Does the case for the wireless one have any real protection, or is it just a soft case to protect from scratches. Thanks for posting Jay!
  19. The convert to 5 path doesn't see the rapids between sections of the source op the way you want it to.... To get what you are after, the source op cannot have "gaps" in it. 1 entry, then cut, 1 exit. Convert to 5 sees the rapids between gaps the same as the cutting motion.... I could be wrong.....
  20. Open the tool manager double click on the tool go to the parameters tab of the tool def at the bottom, hit the button that says "tool clearance". See if you can get anything good adjusting the stuff in there.
  21. Welcome Back Goldorak! How's the Jeep? Feel free to message me with any questions on the machine Ron posted.
