  1. Finally, someone else that feels my pain.. I sent the file into Mastercam but I have not heard anything back yet???? I hope they will fix this soon. Because it is a great tool and now I feel handicapped without it. It almost feels like restmill is a taboo subject. I had problems with it at one time and gave up on it. Someone came along a showed me the way it "really" works and now it is a great tool. Thank you for the reply, Lou
  2. I believe I am using the latest patch. But, I could be wrong. How many people are using rest mill???? I would think this would be a big Issue???
  3. Hey Chad, Very nice Side work!! Here is mine. It is on a much smaller scale. the other programmer and I made out own custom R/C trucks. A spin off of the ClodBuster.

  5. I have had some trouble with my rest mill ever sence I loaded MR0304. When I backplot the cutterpath it will be working it's way down into a small area. THEN it will jump all the way to the bottom of the pocket and do a couple paths then jumps back up and works the rest of the way down in the small area. NOT very good in steel Has anyone else have this problem? Thanks, Lou
  6. Hi all, I have been managing the CNC area for a while now. Now upper management threw the CNC EDM in my department now and I have to start using System 3R fixtures for everything. I am just wondering what are the Pro's and Con's in using the 3R automation? I would like to here some success stories and not so successful stories. Thanks in advance for all you input!!

  12. Hi all, I just bought a 97 OKK G4 Graphite machine and I am having all kinds of accuracy issues with it. I was told about the soft scale thermo compensation parameters that can be set in the machine. But, I don’t understand when and how I should use it??? Any input would be great!! Also, has anyone else used this machine before and what kind of experiences have you had with it???? Thanks, Lou [ 06-09-2004, 04:43 PM: Message edited by: lou ]
  13. I assume you are talking gate size for plastic injection molds. We use MoldFlow which is a software that you use to guess a gate size, style and location then is will tell you weather it will fill or not. Hope this is what you were looking for. Lou
  14. Hi Mike, Our shop has Pro/E (wildfire) and Mastercam (MR0304). Every file that comes in from whatever system is cleaned up in Pro/E then Iges out into Mastercam and I always have a clean file. It sounds like it may just that file. Did you try reading in Pro/E files from another customer just to see if you have the same problem? Good Luck! Lou
  15. You could use webshots then you can cycle your background also. www.webshots.com
  16. Yes, It started in SP2 but now I have the maintenence and it seems to be more often. It has been the same graphics card all along. (nvidia quadro FX500) I dont mind the display so much as when I do a heavy cutterpath I can watch it draw when it comes back after generation but then it wants to redraw for all the toolpath with circles and then it brings my computer to it's knees Thanks for all the replys, Lou
  17. A picture is worth a 1000 words. I just wonder if there is any were to turn this off? Sorry about the size.

  23. Hi Mike, I just bought the Iscar Feed Mill taking .050 per tooth in P-20 at 230ipm. They say I can cut up to .130 per tooth but I stalled the machine trying to do that. I loved it so much I bought 2 of them.
  24. Let me rephrase myself. Maybe I was unclear. Kind of hard to explain. I have a NetHasp that has 5 Mill level 3 seats on it. I want to buy 1 Cimco HSM seat so only one user can use it at a time. I am being told that I can not do this. Is this true???? Thanks again!! Lou
  25. Love The Pic's!! keep them comming!!!
