i also have the same problem...and started a topic titled "lathe defaults in X not working" but so far noone has been able to help me...

has anyone other than me been having problems with the operation defaults when working in lathe for version X? i imported all my defaults using the method shown in the transition guide but for some reason when creating toolpaths in X/lathe it will not retain the default values of the lead-in/lead-out section. it seems to have retained the values for the toolpath parameters page though. it also will not retain the reference point values that i added to the axis configuration in the machine definition... anyone?

can't get the mastercam-to-vericut c-hook to work... install.pdf for vericut says that if you're using your standard mcam icon to launch it instead of using the mcam.bat file you need to define some environment variables to enable the c-hook... what's all this about? has anyone gone through these steps that can walk me through it?

SAP is really good for what we do...takes a while to learn the ins and outs though...personally I like it...but I don't have anything to compare it to, cause it's all i've ever used

I get that all the time...but I don't even have to leave the file...just create some ops behind the locked op then regen and...BOOM...they're not locked anymore...could be dangerous if you're not paying attention...

we cut plastics and do some broaching sometimes...I don't know if it is applicable, but...PH Horn has some good broaching tooling...check their website here.

do you save to a network drive? if so...ask your IT person if they can retrieve the file from the last back-up...our IT department backs-up the servers everynight, so if it was necessary they could pull the file from yesterday... HTH

you might check to see if you have this enabled in screen configure: if so disable it and see if that works HTH
