  1. I find Area rough better than opti rough for roughing out Aluminium. The advantage with Opti rough is zig zag cut which you cant with Area Rough. I find Area rough more efficient. Still I think both need work and you really need to watch the toolpaths on the machine to see that they are not the greatest in rapid metal removal.
  2. Is the tool drawn on a level within MC?
  3. That is awesome mate thank you
  4. I only did what Colin suggested. I'm no post guru
  5. Is there a way I can get this pic into MC so I can machine it? Cheers
  6. I changed the post # Post Name : GENERIC FANUC 4X MT_LATHE.pst fmt "F" 10 feed #Feedrate Dave was 18 But I still don't get two trailing decimals G99 G1 X66.204 Z.77 F.1
  7. If I have a feed .1 set in MC it outputs F.1 in the NC code. The machine will not adjust feed with the feed rate over ride dial. If the NC code reads F.10 then I can control the feed rate over ride on the machine
  8. Im using GENERIC FANUC 4X MT_LATHE.pst how can I output two decimal points in the feed rate? Thank you
  9. There should be setting For Tapping with G95 feed per Rev
  10. I have a MC file with a group of toolpaths in it. Is there a way I can import this group of toolpaths into another MC file which has a similar part? Thank you
  11. Send it to QC and your reseller. There a list of issues with 2019 but unfortunately CNC will not be doing anything with 2019 and hopefully fix the bugs they know about in 2020.
  12. Grab a single toolpath and run it. It will be slow. Grab a few toolpaths and back plot speeds up
  13. Mastercam runs a single toolpath in backplot very slowly even if you slide the bar to fast. If you grab a few toolpaths back plot runs faster. This has been an issue for years.
  14. Serial number is in my info so thats not new info. I wish CNC would fix all the problems in 2019. I have a long list of things that do not work in 2019. I’m not comfortable using a beta version to run my business. Who knows what else I’ll find that doesn’t work. I’m assuming once I save a file in 2020 I can’t open it in 2019?
  15. So what they are saying is use MC 2020 beta version to fix this bug?
  16. I have maintenance. I wish they would fix things before releasing new software. I dont want to use a beta version to run my business. Who knows what else I'll find that doesnt work. I have a long list of things that dont work in 2019.
  17. I got this reply from MC QC what does it mean? Thank you for contacting us with your findings in Contour Remachining and using Multipass with Finish passes at all depths. You are correct that this is not functioning correctly in MC2019. It was logged internally as D-36367 and fixed. I just reloaded MC2020PB1 to make sure that it made it into this release to the public and it did. I do not know if you use the public releases, but if you do you will see that it is in there. Unfortunately, we will not be porting this fix back into MC2019 this late in the cycle.
  18. Fixed had to download this. Big thanks to my Australian MC reseller Cheers
  19. Windows 10 update yesterday now verify is not working. How can I fix?
  20. Reply from Qc. David, This has been a known issue for a while. It was not logged in our system. I logged R-18504 and discussed this with the product owner. It is going to be a fairly large effort to get this done. It will most likely be done when we overhaul our Tool Manager situation. I would suggest opening a second Mastercam session and setting the configuration to inch. Create the tools needed and save them to a tool library. You can then use these tools in the metric file.
  21. @JoshC I create a new Tap I deselect metric go back and the drop menu only shows Metric Taps?
