I just installed MC 2024 & this update, then I ran the migration wizard, selecting 2022 as my "from" files. None of my RMB or other settings seem to have migrated.

I still rock the foolish part.

I've never used either, so I can't speak to them.

This may be a setting in your configuration. When I select it just as I described above, I get no faceting. I've run out over room on the forum, so I'll have to clear some space up Monday.

I just, click on loft in solids and using 3D chain, select both chains, in the same direction.

I'm not too sure that getting rid of High School Industrial Arts programs, and all of the shops that taught the skills needed in the trades, was a good idea. I don't completely blame the latest generation for not learning what they were never taught.

With the exception of the 3 fields that we want to change ( Programmer name, proving operators name & the date the program was proven) AR is 2 clicks for us; 1 click of the "Create" icon & 1 click of the green check mark. Honestly, no single solution is going to please everyone, and sometimes we all just want to take an opportunity to vent a bit. That's part of what a good forum provides.

The new IHS IKE posts have a built in setup sheet. I started building a post for our Mazak VCN700, but a squirrel distracted me. I need to take another stab at it.

If that's the case Active Reports can capture that image for you. As I said earlier, we don't have any need for it, so I didn't spend any time refining our capture report, I am sure it can be done though. If that is view is what's on the screen when we create our report, it would be the 1st page of our setup sheet. If you have Acrobat Pro, you can export the pdf as a Word document.

@Bill Craven is the guy that I learned a whole lot from regarding Active Reports. I don't know if he does any contract work like this at all, but he might be able to point you in the right direction. How are you generating that image now? We don't need anything other than the view we have in the MC window (the part, fixture & WCS) when we generate our sheets, so I haven't investigated other images or screenshots in our sheets. But, Active Reports is a pretty powerful tool, there is probably a way to integrate your images into the sheet, as others have already stated the other sheets wouldn't be too much trouble.

Are you looking for bisect line? create a line on each edge, select Line bisect from the wireframe dropdown, select the two lines you created then select the bisected line you want to keep.

Migration Wizard is available at least back to 2017. File>Convert>Migration Wizard. You're probably going to have to migrate it in steps through each version.

0.0001 works too.

You have to have "Finish" check for the helical entry to activate. i dunno why. Also the 0.00001 total tolerance was blocking it. I changed it to 0.001 & it worked I was wrong, it is the 0.00001 total tolerance that is blocking it. I changed it to 0.001 & it works fine,

To tell us they will fix what they broke in this version with the next version, while breaking something else, that they will fix in the version after that, ad infinitum. We still haven't switched to 2023, and monitoring this forum is the primary reason for that. This forum rocks! Broken "new" MC versions, not so much.
