  1. I fogot to mention that (not sure if it still avaiable) we bought NWD filter and this helped a hell of alot to get the programs moving the way they should be ...could check that as well. Dave Ferraro
  2. what size of buffer does the machine have ,cause I used to cut 3d forms for molds from scan data and there would be a *hitload of points in the program and this would cause the machine to have "data starvation" this is caused by a small buffer and the machine cannot read far enough into the program to make the next move thats why when you lower the feedrate you get smooth motion back again, fixing the problem ....get a larger buffer I would say ,or try filtering your programs to remove some of the points. Dave Ferraro
  3. Thanks alot guys , I feel like I'm under the gun if you know what I mean so thanks alot. Dave Ferraro ( i knew you i could count on you guys)
  4. I was wondering if anyone can give me a link for a web page with mastercam high speed toolpaths on it ? I need to show the bosses here the new toolpaths but cannot find any pages that shown them. Dave Ferraro
  5. There has to be a break in the chain somewhere for you to get that error so somewhere in that chain there is a break,if you fix the break then you should be able to chain the pocket on the bottom. Dave Ferraro
  6. Welcome to the forum I think theres probably overlapping arcs and lines ..or no trimmed correctly. Try analyze chain or use the chook "findoverlap". the chook will show you where the problem is. If that fails (both) then I would look carefully at the endpoints of all the enties in the chain to make sure there trimmed. That should help Dave Ferraro
  7. Well just a suggestion for everyone ,what I do is add _001 _002 ect. to the end of the filename ,save alot (whats the differnece if the files take up a bit of extra space on c drive)I use this alot with any software , I use this method everyday for mastercam and Visi soilds and have not had any problems. The thing is if you use this method to saving ,that at anytime you can bacjup 1 file and restore anything missing or at least try to find out what happened to the file. I work the names like this det63.mc9 then resave as det63_001.mc9 then save alot..so by the time your done the file you might have 20 -30 saves on the same file (different names) then if anything happens in det63_030.MC9 YOU CAN "BACKUP" TO FILE DET63_029.MC9. I use this alot during design sometimes I have made it all the way up to _121 lol alot of files but it saves alot of time because you can run back and forth between them if your asked to "bring something back" that you already had (or restore toolpaths) Hope that is somewhat clear to you guys. Dave Ferraro
  8. even after this .... quote: CNC Software should be ashamed for pushing this crap off on their customers. JESUS CHRIST! CNC shows what type of company they are and they still want to help you out .... Hurray for CNC software to stand behind there products ..not many companys out there like this. quote: Do have anything to offer so that we may help you? The guys here are great, and I'm sure we can figure out your problem. Man I can't belive that there still willing to help after what you said. Again CNC SOFTWARE is the tops ...hats off to you all you guys.... Dave Ferraro
  9. is there an echo in here ? here here here ....lol Dave
  10. Not to hijack this thread or anything but anyone know if STUDIO will be back in X ? or did they just delete this function altogether? Dave Ferraro
  11. Its 2 bad that in X the studio was removed you would be able to put any texture (bmp) on the surfaces. I wonder if they will put studio back in x any time soon or at all ? Dave
  12. I know that an m01 is optional stop ,if you have it on the machine will stop ,that may be easier for you ? Dave
  13. gcode thanks for the information, got it now and it works for me 2 , Thanks again Dave
  14. Now thats a classic...lol Ever fell asleep in the shower ? I have twice ....woke up real fast when the hot water ran out. lol Dave
  15. I had a chance to look and created a file called "daves try THAD FLATS.zip" take a look at that ,its not perfect ( i could not spend too much time on it) I did notice that the there is one vertical face that doesn't seem to get finished you might have to play with the settings a bit to get it to do it. One thing I always do is if I use a parallel path at 45 I will then follow up with a parallel steep at 135 deg to finish opposite corners. Dave Ferraro
  16. Thad , I see now that Parallel steep would be a very good option for you ,no boundries and you can set and extension amount onto the flats ,use no check surfaces but what i did was set the from slope angle to .1 and the to slope angle 90 ,this avoida all flats but will still over lap them. hope that helps Dave
  17. Hey just an idea ,what about using parallel with check surfaces on the flats ? That you can do with no boundries and it won't recut the flats. Just a thought Dave Ferraro
  18. hahah I finaly beat john to answer lol man your getting slow lol (j/k) Dave

  20. Thats right I'm sorry I forgot about that feature (i dont program 2d files very much now). Wish I could help more about the post. Dave
  21. Not sure about the post ,but why is the code coming out like that ,there must be breaks in the contours ? I myself (if there is breaks in the contours) would join the lines or arcs together to create a cleaner gcode. Dave
  22. Hey Rakesh Can you not just right click on the ribon bar and click on X+ toolbar to show up ? Dave
  23. Try a seach for "tangent" ,this has been talked about alot in other posts that you will find if you do a search. Dave
