  1. /ME = Mill Entry , but unless you have a license for "Mill Entry", I do not think this will help. All the "Command-Line Switches" are listed in the Admin Guide.
  2. quote: That's what I'd like to do! Ours is based off the Generic Haas 4x Mill. Any ideas on how to do that? There is a very good Haas post on this FTP that already includes that feature. Mill_Haas_VF.PST
  3. If the problem is A0 output in file that have no rotary moves, there is a way to handle this without having 2 different machine defs / posts. Add logic to the post so that it scans the file for rotary moves in pwrtt. Then only outputs rotary vaules for files that are for rotary. It looks like the mpmaster already works this way.
  4. The Renishaw Programming manual is a MUST HAVE. Programming manual H-2000-6222-00-B Inspection Plus software for Haas machining centres I have it as PDF if anyone needs a copy.
  5. If offsets are set to any value other than -1, they will not change on rotation.
  6. This has come up before. It could be caused by. 1. File is of newer version than supported. 2. File is corrupt. 3. Instalation problem. see link below. http://www.emastercam.com/cgi-bin/ultimate...t=033588#000000
  7. Infinite C Axis is a nice feature to have.
  8. If each toolpath group represented a single NC file: 1. You could still post individual operations seperatly. 2. You could create seperate groups when you need to keep the NC files seperate. My thought is to remove the little icon under each operation that has the NC datapath. We have added a page of options to try and deal with this issue, but they have not helped.
  9. Lots of ways to get the same result. If I know how many degrees I want to rotate, I like to use the "Rotate Cplane" option. To get A180 you would simply enter 180 in the "About X" field. When using "Geometry", be very careful that the new plane still has the X axis in the correct orientation. For 4 axis programs, all planes must be single axis rotations or you will get an error when you try and post.
  10. would it be a problem if we lost the option for each operation to have a different file name? What if all operations in the toolpath group ALWAYS posted to a single file? ????
  11. Assuming the rotary is rotating about the Z axis, select the “Rotary Axis Control” page from your toolpath parameters. Rotation Type = 3 axis Rotary axis = Rotate about Z axis This will give you a toolpath motion using X and the Rotary. The default post should support this without needing to modify the machine def.
  12. Yes. A custom post can be made so that when you post all operations together, subs are automaticly created and numbered for each toolchange + a main program. This is not uncommon when using the fanuc/makino controls where main memory space is very limited.
  13. I have been using one of these for a couple of months now, and have been very pleased. But do not waste your $ on the "Deluxe Kit". We found the "Filter Alert" to be of no use.
  14. In Mastercam, unselect the option for "initial height". Set referance height as .1 no need for post edit.
  15. That is exactlt what I have been looking for. Thank you for the info. I pluged it in this morning and it worked perfect. My 16i has a cycle time on the setting page, but it only resets with M30, and the way I run my pallet changer, it never reads a M30 (only M99).
  16. Another good reason to program horizontals where top/top xyz=xyz Rotary's rotate around the same axis in Mastercam as the do on the machine.
  17. double check the values that are used in your formula. “zinc” or “sweep” may need to be updated. Below is the formula that I have used for this. if sweep$ <> 0, kh = (360 / abs(sweep$)) * abs(z$ - prv_z$)
  18. very interesting. Running aluminum 24/7, we have problems where the factory chip pan will clog with fines, and then overflow. My concern is that the filters in this Chip Trap would clog very quickly.
  19. Create a Circle through the center of 3 of the holes?
  20. if what you need is for the 1st peck to be different than the rest of the pecks, std fanuc canned cycle will not do it. You will need to edit your control definition and turn off the used canned cycle option for peck drill. That way you post will output longhand.
  21. thank you for the excellent port info. Does anyone know if porting tools are available where you would form the port with a contour instead of a drill type operation. It looks like if you had a cutter with the 2 angles, and the radius at top, you could use the same cutter for several size ports. ??
  22. "It does not work automagically." This would make for a good enhancement. An option for "Use rules in machine def", and then the length and dia fields would be greyed out. ??
  23. correction. that last line should read if plane$ = 2, pxout, pfyout, pfzout #G19
