  1. On a couple occasions I lost several entities when i make a fillet. They just vanished
  2. Separate offsets with probe I did a job for an ITAR customer, .0005 true POS. Holes inline 180 degrees apart in titanium. I calibrated before boring each part. Probed the same point for x and y on each rotation. Fixture was make so clamps pushed the part into the solid edge. It worked out good. All datums were skimed in shrink holders with the face of the tool. I used my post who's spits out the standard pqi macros(renishaw)
  3. Our post has a string Tblk = tblk +10
  4. Has anyone ever had their machine randomly decide it has no combination of axes for a simple drill path. And not even let you look at the parameters?
  5. We have a bunch of module air units on the ceiling. They have a grate plus glass floss elements. They do a decent job but some machines need their own unit with a duct.
  6. The path is set in the control definition but it seems to default to the default. We have a library that we use on the server and it only seems to happen to one of our machine definitions
  7. Did you get tcp with your mastercam post? Camplete makes a nice job setup sheet. Once you get your holders in the library in mastercam they export to camplete with the export dll.
  8. On a few occasions camplete would have an arc going outside of the machine like 10 or 20 ft in diameter. I'm guessing it's one of those very small arc length deals. So I usually adjust the filtering parameters and it goes away
  9. We got a guy I think he's from Pennsylvania. He showed us how to back up the data there was a long drawn-out process but at least your zeroes are preserved
  10. It's just expired maintenance, not unlicensed. You won't be able to update
  11. They are in the yellow Fanuc book under system variables in the macro section. Each letter code commanded has its own
  12. We have some es800 matsuuras with the 840d. When they go down it's like 20 grand every time. You do get some money back from the cores though.
  13. Can you output it as 4+1 Or you may be able to convert a scalop or waterline surface to 5 axis and lock A where you want it
  14. We have a shared master cam 2020 directory on our server.
  15. I saved my Holders into the tool library and set it in the control def
  16. Yes usually a parameter. But also must index the boring head. But some styles you have to be careful not to distort the main body by going to tight.
  17. I finally got around to looking at this again as it only happened with a second tool change. I left a line without the e$ in the tool change post block so it was double posting the line number.
  18. Our master cam is set for 50% memory and it's always taken years for the toollist function to populate I think it's a little bit faster on 2020 now
  19. Bore with shift. Make sure your machine shifts correctly!
  20. We got an email from out dealer with a new warmup recommendation for the air grease spindles. It's 10 minutes instead of the 2 that they came with. Starting at 1,000 for a minute 5,000 for a minute 10,000 for 2 minutes 15,000 for 3 minutes 20,000 for 3 minutes We had a combined access and spend a warm up which the values were already pretty close. So we just modified them a little bit.
  21. There is instructions in the renishaw book about probing using twp but im not sure if it will write offsets off of it. When we have a tight position we maybe a sub program and use a separate offset and not using twp.
