Separate offsets with probe
I did a job for an ITAR customer, .0005 true POS. Holes inline 180 degrees apart in titanium.
I calibrated before boring each part. Probed the same point for x and y on each rotation. Fixture was make so clamps pushed the part into the solid edge.
It worked out good. All datums were skimed in shrink holders with the face of the tool.
I used my post who's spits out the standard pqi macros(renishaw)
We have a bunch of module air units on the ceiling. They have a grate plus glass floss elements.
They do a decent job but some machines need their own unit with a duct.
The path is set in the control definition but it seems to default to the default.
We have a library that we use on the server and it only seems to happen to one of our machine definitions
Did you get tcp with your mastercam post?
Camplete makes a nice job setup sheet. Once you get your holders in the library in mastercam they export to camplete with the export dll.
On a few occasions camplete would have an arc going outside of the machine like 10 or 20 ft in diameter.
I'm guessing it's one of those very small arc length deals. So I usually adjust the filtering parameters and it goes away
We got a guy I think he's from Pennsylvania. He showed us how to back up the data there was a long drawn-out process but at least your zeroes are preserved
I finally got around to looking at this again as it only happened with a second tool change. I left a line without the e$ in the tool change post block so it was double posting the line number.
We got an email from out dealer with a new warmup recommendation for the air grease spindles.
It's 10 minutes instead of the 2 that they came with. Starting at 1,000 for a minute 5,000 for a minute 10,000 for 2 minutes 15,000 for 3 minutes 20,000 for 3 minutes
We had a combined access and spend a warm up which the values were already pretty close. So we just modified them a little bit.
There is instructions in the renishaw book about probing using twp but im not sure if it will write offsets off of it.
When we have a tight position we maybe a sub program and use a separate offset and not using twp.
