Rick...
Try this...
under your .25 dia.. finishing parameters...
down under finish check mark the "start finish pass at closest entity..
then under your pocketing parameters... change it from roll cutter around corners to NONE instead of SHARP..
I think thats what you want.
I am having trouble with transform rotate...
I am using X3 and I am basically cutting a groove in a dial, then transform rotating it a number of times for the correct spacing. Problem I am having is I want to use the same offset.. no matter what I choose in the "work offset numbering" it increments the offsets in the code. ANY of the selections does this. I just want the offset in the beginning and then from there on... just A rotations...
The paths look good, A commands are there.. but now I get G54, G55, G56.
any help would be appreciated.
I using the GENERIC HAAS 4AXIS VMC post.
quote:
check the surface normals, I had to reverse them to be correct. I also would like to understand this a little more clearly...
I know I can use this..
how can I check and reverse surface normals?
how bout under your the settings tab....click on configuration..
then down on the bottom change your current default to metric.
you will have to regen your toolpaths..
can you copy your config file, paste it on your desktop and rename it, with a .TXT extention.. then open it and alter it, save it as a .txt then rename it changing the .txt to .config and put that in your config folder and select it for your default in Mastercam?
just trying to figure a way around it..
