  1. some times a path will get a bug up it's a$$ that wont go away until u delete the path and make a new one. maybe that's it?
  2. IDK but there is more than one method to import... if u drag a mc file and drop it in your toolpath manager with left button, u get instant import. merging new part into old file is the best way to keep stuff intact... file merge. then delete or move original part...
  3. I could probably get 2017 back but I am used to this now. so hopefully I can use it until I retire. already have to translate solid works files into parasolids to read them... I may be forced to update by something like that idk.
  4. I use 2019 but I wish I had stayed with 2017. I am not interested in what they have degraded to lately, Sorry. even if there is a use for the wasted space. I don't want a new bag of faults to get used to and account for. every release , it takes more mouse clicks to get the job done. More pain in the a$$. Wow u can make it show 9 ! LAME. but thanks for the reply.
  5. yes I know, thanks, but that is ridiculous. it goes back. it won't stay for next time. in 2017 that manager is far superior! they ruined it in 2019 and just left it that way? I say again what is the rest of the window for? if I had a student that put out that kind of trash , I would give them a reprimand for not completing the job! these guys keep the crap and don't even notice? it makes me ill that they leave it broken!
  6. speaking of what has been ruined lately... what is with the drill point manager? does it still show 3 points in the window when u have over a hundred selected? what is the rest of the window for?
  7. FYI, the alt is irrelevant, the short cut is a single key. E
  8. Also try selecting one toolpath.... press E a few times. everything below it changes state
  9. just copy the op. and run it twice. reverse order on copy.
  10. there is a path called finish leftover hiding away. u can use use comand finder on home strip to get it out.
  11. I don't edit post files , but... there should be a way to do that in the control def. if u set it to from tool and then save all tools with the right settings. it requires building a tool library but there it is . more than one way to skin a cat.
  12. "Yes, this is a legit problem. The finish pass of a Dynamic Contour toolpath is simply driven directly to the chain, with no regard of the minimum radius setting. We have request #R-14452 logged to add support for a separate min radius for the finish pass." found the reply.
  13. we build automation lines. barely need my 5th axis most of the time. I don't miss mold work. this low stress life is good for me. the odd big job comes. I have a 8 foot plate of aluminum coming that has a 14 page drawing! but no 3d work on it. it's all the little things that used to save time and clicks that I miss. it was innovative, built intuitive and lean. I could pause to repair geometry in the middle of chaining for a toolpath, and then continue with out missing a beat. oh well, those times are long gone.
  14. yes it would thanks , I do forget about that setting... sometimes nice, but it gets confusing at times. maybe I can set a hot key for it? then I would remember. hunting and clicking with mouse gets old fast. I miss single key menu items.
  15. here there are 3 depth cuts, I can see only 1 likely this has been that way for a long time . I am still relatively new to the last 15 years of changes. that is why it is so obvious for me all the good stuff that has been left behind and kicked to the side. version 9.1 is still a formidable bit of software. superior in AT LEAST as many ways as it is inferior to MC2019 and the like.
  16. Hey Chally, any I idea if they fixed this flaw yet? It is NEVER good to leave stock in a corner for the finish path. If it is fixed, I might update from mc2019 S.
  17. off topic, a bit,, and sorry for the bashing. When did they stop showing toolpath display thru shaded faces? it almost caught me yesterday, I like it better the other way where you could always see toolpaths no matter what!. typical old me.
  18. That should not be posable! . If it is a setting, then What is it good for? why would there be a a setting like that? SAD!
  19. here is what I do, black is badass. the arrow points to the control for the toolpath manager scheme. Windows has a good dark theme too.
  20. it is sad that the program is going that way, but it has been for many years consecutively. 20 years ago there were so many innovative aspects to everything you did. like input fields preloading with known values. not any more. !
  21. did u look for blanked entities? maybe something is there.
  22. do you use Cimco to edit the NC file?
  23. if you replace all "G0" with eg. "G1 F500" won't that work?
  24. is there not an easy replace feature in Cimco edit that would work for that?
  25. idk lol my graphics back ground is black, maybe it leaked over? thanks Colin.
