  1. Typically a B-axis head at least but not "has" to be...there are many configurations
  2. It's specific for multi-tasking machines...comes with it's own setup routine, simulation module and specific for that machine, post processor...it is a complete environment for whichever specific machine it is purchased.
  3. For those looking for the newest help file.... sign onto the official CNC Software forum, the 2020 version is there and available for download, under Learning >> Documentation https://my.mastercam.com/Learning/documentation/mastercam
  4. though that doesn't mean they deserve support
  5. The Mill/Turn module has not, to date, been able to be cracked....there's not a software out there that's not cracked on the day it's released.
  6. There's another 1,000 lb elephant in the room that hasn't even been touched on... Piracy I can tell you from experience, MOST, say Facebook groups and others, I'm quite certain, there are a LARGE percentage of pirates looking for help, posts and anything else you can think of..it's a bigger problem on this forum than IHS might care to admit but once you get away from the "official" support groups for Mastercam, piracy is a HUGE issue... I removed myself from several groups because of it. I try to be mindful of who and what help I provide at this point, exactly because of it. JM2C YMMV
  7. @Grimes Look in the 2020 MPMaster from this site....there is an Misc Int 6 has a switch to give IPR output
  8. View >> Advanced Display, click on arc centers
  9. Here is a CAT40 Kennametal HSK63AHCSL050669.dxf Check the layout, the "nocut" level....then define in the standalone
  10. Put it on your desktop, right click on the chm file...click unblock After that simply double click to open
  11. This is something that I know can be done, Dave Thomson shared it with me once years ago, of course I can't find it now. Can I get some help on how to save the input from a post question and save it as a text file? Creating the questions isn't a problem, it's keeping that data so that if I have to post again, that data is saved and populates the dialog boxes.
  12. The ReadMe is posted on the "offical" forum
  13. Across the Top, go to View...see if it is checked in there...if not, click it
  14. Go into your config, see if this is unchecked/checked I haven't installed Update 2 as yet, so I'm not sure with the issue if it has been disabled for now though
  15. Thanks. The body of it existed when I got here in 2015, I have since massaged it, revamping it's layout and adding information about specific tooling. Our downstairs shop doesn't get this sheet....doing mostly low production and prototype, they use what they have in their tooling stock that will work. The production shop up here gets that and a listing of the holders with stickouts...much more of a concern on our high production HMC's
  16. MFG name - spTool/ManufacturerName MFG Tool Code -
  17. ALT + V will give you the version number to check a different way Also, you may need to reboot as well...I have seen that on the last couple updates, requiring it after installing
  18. In other words, you're boss is not willing to pay to train you This forum is great for knowledge but it can't train you....
  19. Many moons ago the company I was working for decided to go from Mastercam to UG NX for engineering CAD and CAM....in that case it turned into a $750k boondoggle. After nearly a year it was decided that they would make the move the Engineering team had suggested and moved to Solidworks and back to Mastercam...that is where they are to this day some 15 years later. At this point, I am so entrenched into Mastercam, if a company announced they were changing, short of a couple of software titles, I'd relocate myself. Featurecam would not be one of those titles
  20. It needs a post edit....but can be done in the control simply https://www.haascnc.com/video/tipoftheday/ybk1mn_q9j0.html If post editing is something you can do
  21. Dunno, our VC300A-5X that we invested properly in.....is now cutting day in/day out holding high finish and tolerance requirements. As always, it's a poor craftsman that blames his tools
  22. No..myself, I'd never set up that way, though I know people who have..... Used to output as a variable and set the variable value at the top of each tool change
