  1. I found the toolbar , but it's too small to click on. I drag it onto the screen and it's just this little tiny rectangle with no icon.
  2. Do you have the slider bar thingy in "Display Control" slid up to "Quality" ?
  3. Here's a link for the Haas Office Mill Don't know much about them either , but damn they're cute !!!
  4. Hit the "Alt" key once. Notice all of the menu comands have a letter underlined. That brings back alot (not all)of the old V9 hotkeys. ex. Alt then , C,L,E for Create Line Enpoints.
  5. Click / Save to Favorites Nice ! Thanks for sharing Bill.
  6. They're the correct files , but I just noticed the extensions are SLD. instead of SLDPRT. Any ideas ? TIA
  7. I've noticed a "quirk" trying to open Solidworks files into X. When we do File / Open , find the sldprt we need , then double click on the file , it comes in just fine. But when we do File / Open / click on the file (once) / then click the open button , it says "Parasolid Not Found " Anyone else seeing this ? Is there a setting or summfin I'm missin ? "X" rocks , even more than the Vikings Love Boat
  8. In the Stock Setup Page , you can click on any corner or the center of the display stock rectangle. Then hit Bounding Box , Click O.K . Where's your part in relation to the origin in Mcam ? Does that help at all ?
  9. We have a VF-OE (01') , and love it. The only REAL problems we've had are with the toolchanger. The service in our area is great also. However , we don't do any real heavy machining. Mostly aluminum and plastics. A 1/2" endmill is huge for us typicaly. So it's the perfect machine for us. Haas machines are cheap compared to others , but that doesn't make them crappy machines. Yes , you usually get what you pay for , but you must consider the applications it will be used for BEFORE you buy anything. Would you buy a Saturn to go racing because it's cheaper than a Porche , then say the Saturns a POS cuz you lost the race ?
  10. quote: Is there a doc or something that points out the new verify In your McamX directory , go to the Help folder and open the McVerify.chm.
  11. Also make sure to uncheck "Assign Tool #'s Sequentially" in the Tool Settings page from the Machine Group Properties. Then you wont have to edit tool #'s in your NC file.
  12. Should say in the upper left corner when X is open.... X Mastercam Mill SP1.
  13. Can't help with your question , but your display name rules. Welcome aboard
  14. - Holding down the mouse wheel to rotate - Customizing Toolbars / States - The "Tab" feature in 2D Contour - Gradient Background Direction in System colors - MRU bar - Previewing Xform functions Find more and more everyday. I dig it !!! Fix the communications quirks, and it will be perfect.
  15. Do you mean , Name the NC file the same as the MCX file ? If so than , Yes. HTH
  16. quote: I have been using hurco mills for a while using mastercam at work with ultimax ssm and was wondering if the same post would be used on the ultimax 3 control system. Easy fellas , Where did he ask for a post ? Let's put the flame throwers on hold ....... for the moment . Can't answer his question either, but asking if a Hurco mill post will work on a different Hurco mill seems like a non-flamable question to me. Welcome to the Forum "big g"

  20. quote: As for me,I am just using it right now for my own personal beta testing Me too. I'm using X on my computer while running V9 on the shops computer. Quite the change, but I think I'll get the hang of it soon. Just taking my time with it, creating and grammin simple geometry till I feel comfy' , then work my way up to the REAL stuff. I do however miss all the V9 hot-keys , my index finger is killin' me. NuNu teh haven't been "Key Mapping" yet.
