Open a V9 file. Fit to screen. Zoom in on something using F1 key. Take a look at your screen. Zoom in further with F1 key. Hit F2 - it goes back exactly to the previous view. Do the same in X. It will unzoom slightly by hitting the F2 key, not to the previos view. If you can't see or understand this I would have to question how much you have used either version.

Its really hard to be civil to someone that is cursing and throwing a fit because they dont understand. We are not talking about changes we have made to our F2 function, its basic functionality, and you cant change it to act like this in X, and it worked this way "out of the box" as you say in V9.

Try to control your rage a moment, and try it yourself and see, if you can't then please don't come back cursing about it again, because you aren't helping anyone with your attitude.

thank you thats what i've been trying to say, after testing like all of you said you are correct, BUT if you look in the docs you will see that it DOES NOT say this ....Alt F2 was supposed to be previous view ...I'm sorry for freaking out (going thru some ruff things right now at home with my kid) ,just look at the the docs and you will see that I'm right on that end of things but I do agree with you nopw that it fuctions the way you guys say it does, not like the manuals say. I guess I never payed that much attetion to what it was actually doing , i was just using the command
