Well we have a policy around here of not giving out posts since some people could not be legit users of Mastercam. It is not meant to be unoffensive, but to blindly give someone a possible costly posts is supporting people who are not legit. I have a saying you can not expect keys to the castle without wading through a little mud. What I mean by that is if you were a long time member we would all know you are legit people might be, but then if the post is worth some serious coin then we still do not try to bite the hands that feed us so to speak. I know you are probably like hey I paid all this money for Mastercam and I want it now. Again not trying to be an arse here just hoping you can see our point of view and please keep coming back.

 

This is a community of people trying to help others better their profession and each other.

My problem is that the four axis defs and posts are for rotary tables and we dont have one. We only have 90 degree heads.

Ask to speak to ryan or one of there salesmen over at axsys. I used to get post mods out of them within a few days now it just seems to take a few weeks.

vertical, you can go into mach def and add one fairly simply. Just drag it from the componet library onto your Z axis. BE SURE AND MAKE A COPY OF YOUR ORIGINAL. Just in case.

I was trying to add a right angle head to

an mpmaster based horizonal machining center

yesterday

It totaly kicked my butt. It was a simple toolpath

and I eneded up writing the code by hand

toolpath that output what I needed.

It looked like a train wreck in backplot, but the gcode was good
