Settings/customize..

Lower left...reset button...

Then draw a line ...it will come back...move it where it needs to go.

Warning..if you have a bunch of custom stuff set up you will loose them...

But I just run default with only a couple extras so its easy for me.

But if you have your custom menues saved you can load them back with the file open icon on the far bottom left of the pop up window.

This didn't work for me..

I have no idea what to try next

Did you load your saved config before you tried to get the ribbon bar back? I make the ribbon bar come back before I load my saves file.

It works for me everytime.

I don't know how I keep loosing the ribbon bar....I think I accidently grab it and close it somehow.

OK this gets weirder.

If I maximize X7, Autocursor disappears.

Then I move the maximized X7 window to my 2nd screen and there is the Autocursor in the middle of my first screen.

When X7 is maximized, Autocursor is moving to the middle of the screen from it's docked position

but its undernearth the X7 window so I can't see it.

If I hit the square between the - sign and the X to shrink the window, Autocursor goes back where is belongs.

Very strange behavior

Can someone tell me which registry keys need to be editied to fix this issue.

This happened to my X7MU1 install on Friday.

I've tried all the suggested fixes listed here as well as an uninstall/reinstall.

How did you lose it? Did you undock it, or it just vanished? Does it come back if you enter a function? (i.e. create arc or line or something)

When I enter a function I can re-dock it and it stays.... (with Mcam maximized)

I don't know how I lost it, bit I did get it fixed.

In the course for writing my last post I broke it completely... no auto cursor under any conditions..

So I uninstalled X7 and deleted all the X7 entries in the registry then reinstalled and I'm back in business

I figured out how to break the autocursor.

With X7 maximized, I drug it out of my toolpbar and droped it in the graphics area.

It vanished never to be seen again.. and I can't get it back.

Looks like an uninstall.. delete registry reinstall .. Pretty weird stuff

That is how I "broke" mine, but upon starting geometry creation (create line or arc or whatever) it came back up, at which point I was able to re-dock it.

Hey G what are your windows taskbar settings?

no idea.. where do I look to check them

I'm thinking the root of this problem may be video drivers.

I'm running a recent version of Nvidia's Quadro drivers with the Desktop Manager utility enabled

Since seeing this post, I've been trying to break mine just to see what happens and I'm always able to get it back by creating geo and re-docking it.

I'm running two monitors and don't seem to have a problem with getting it back at all.

My guess would be the video drivers too.
