Could you please list the wearabouts of Osama Bin Laden, or perhaps Sadaam Hussein???

But seriously, for the most part those details are not for public discourse at this point in time. If you have some specific questions, I'm sure your reseller may be able to help you out with that.

One thing that is public knowledge is that it will now be a Native Windows app.

That's all I have to say about that.

Actually, they have been working on VX since V7

I haven't seen it myself, but people I respect and trust have told me it will be released in 2004. I've been a beta site for V7 8 and 9 and

hope to be one for VX, but I haven't heard anything official yet. I anm looking forward to it

Good morning

I think your right Gcode.

Dureing a V7 puchase at my dealer a couple of years back, I was told that men are working on Version ten.

I was told::""We have to go thru V7,V8,V9 with the users so that we don't loose everybody"""

I will Tell you for sure this is not Vaper ware.

I have seen tidbites and that is all that can be stated.

Thanks for the replies.

I don't understand why this is being kept so secret. You would think that with the size of the installed user base they would want some input from the people that use it? That you would want people trying it and making sure that the shock of a complete change in interface goes smoothly.

Were some of you not quoting about how bad cimatron's changeover went? rolleyes.gif

How about a screenshot - some eye candy - a hint at what it will be like!?!?!

I'll be waiting impatiently wink.gif

It secret because the CAD/CAM software world is

very competitive. With every release, Mastercam

takes another bite out of the big boy's

(Catia, UG, ProE) market share. VX is going

to make them break down and cry biggrin.gif

There are several threads on the forum where

Mastercam product developement has asked for

suggestions. Beta sites and regular users have been sending in suggestions and enhancement requests for years.

VX will be the results of 5 years of Mastercam

listening to their customers

To paraphrase gcode, "They have been listening for years".

You'll see it soon enough and it is not Vaporware. Be patient.

CAD/CAM is EXTREMELY competitive. Mastercam is the leader and everybody wants to take down the leader.

Damm, once again I forgot to search through teh backlog of messages. I didn't start checking this forum regularly until september! You miss a day around here and the topics move off the first page!

I read all the past threads - some great questions from cnc and even better input from all of you!

Still waiting impatiently!!!
