Solids just blew up

So for some reason I can't get solid extrude to cooperate at all.  All I get is unable to find surfaces warning.  Sometimes a chain must be planar error.  Which AFAIK it is, can't seem to put a finger on this one, and unfortunately it just blew up my entire file.  All I had to do was make a few very easy small tweaks......   Guess I will just relink to the chains and move them around.

Any ideas?  I needed these parts done yesterday.

try this

open a fresh copy of Mastercam../launch System Config

increase your chaining tolerance to something big like .010

now try and open the file that's giving you trouble

I used to work with a guy who ran with his chaining tolerance at .010

and I ran the default setting of .0001

Every time I opened one of his  files, the solids would blow up

Sometimes mine will act up, It will claim my extrusions wont work, para-solid kernel interface error. shut down restart and they magically work again. weird.

I had done a full shut down restart.  Same result.

Never though to do this in the system settings.  I'll give that a shot later today when I get a chance and report back.

Thin wall checks itself if the chain isn't closed, which apparently is one of my problems.  I had a whole pile of issues, but basically if I did anything to a chain it would blow up the solid and I would end up having to rebuild the chain by replacing all of the arcs, tolerances didn't seem to be a part of it.  Any ideas as to why chains and solids are so picky?
