Thanks Eric,
I just did that per your E-mail and got the same results. I went ahead and sent it to [email protected] to see if they have any comment on it.
Thanks again,
Kevin C.
I am having trouble with the tool retracting alot when I want to leave stock on surface. I have never noticed this on previous versions, and I only have the latest version installed now including MU1. If you look at op#14 and #15 they are the same operation with stock to leave of .010 on 14 and 0.0 on 15 yet for some reason 14 keeps wanting to retract, very annoying. Is this a bug or am I just not using this toolpath right?
I am having trouble getting to the ftp but I can send a file to anyone who wants to look.
Thanks a bunch,
While we are spilling beans, what about the red-arrow moving around everywhere? Mainly how it moves to the bottom of the tree everytime you exit verify.
Thanks,
Thanks for the heads up guys. I guess the switching WCS when changing machine won't be nearly as irritating when the stupid red arrow quits jumping around.

Yeah I was afraid of that. I might put a call in to my reseller. On a side note does anyone know if this has been labeled a bug or put in for an enhancment request? If not I will send it in.
Thanks,
This questions is to the Beta testers. Has this been fixed in the release you guys are using now?
This is really annoying me lately.
I don't like the way it occasionally changes your WCS too. I don't think the WCS should ever change unless you do it.
Thanks,
One would think that would be a nice selling point for machine tool manufacturers. They could offer an accurate model of a machine along a post to go with the 3 or 4 most popular CAM systems.
Did you look in the post file for this?
use_rotmcode : 0 #Output M-Code for Axis direction (sindx_mc)
#0 = Signed direction (only valid when rot_type = 1)
#1 = M-Code for direction
If your post has this I would try changing it.
I could well be wrong too, V9 was before my time. Be sure to backup your post before you change anything.
Wow those are big. I wonder if something is lacking in my computer? It is a Dell Optiplex
Intel Core 2 DUO CPU
E8200 @2.66Ghz
3.25GB of RAM
Quadro FX 570 video
Windows XP Pro SP2
Robert,
Do you ever get the error when trying to save large STL files?
Thanks,
Kevin C.
Yes go in to your verify settings in the config file.
Default is .008 which is pretty bad. If you go too low though, Like a .001 your STL's will be huge and once they get so big you won't be able to save them anymore. I use about .002. for general aircraft stuff.
BTW, as a side note what is the largest STL file that anyone has been able to save without the verify error message and the 0KB STL file?
The biggest I have got to save was about 45megs.
