Has anyone gotten "REPAIRED NCI with MU2? I'm getting it with several ops using 5-Axis MultiSurface. I cleared the comment field, regened and saved. Re-opened and it's back again...
I did a test with all of Mastercam installed on a ramdrive and the test files on a ramdrive with RAM at 1800Mhz and W3580 XEON at 4.2GHZ with 4 cores and my best time was 57-58 seconds following the method I described above.
murray If you haven't regened the file at .001" you may have regen files from a prior regen at .0001" that may affect your next regen in a positive manner.
When you regen the tool path mastercam creates copies of the solids and regen files that may be reused if it can. I've found that that can affect the regen times in a positive manner. The temp file location can be found by checking your files; temp location in your configuration.
I get similar error files with my 5 axis posts with 5X swarf tool paths. I believe you need to have the .psb portion of your post updated by your postbuilder. P.S. my posted code has also been fine so far...
I've had to regen and / or double click on the tool if I've changed the tool to get the angle to change in the calculator.. eg. I had a 120 degree spot drill correctly defined and I had been using a 90 degree spotdrill previously. When I used the depth calculator it shows a 90 degree point until I exited the operation and re-opened. Got to pay attention to the details... arg
Did you update your machine and control definitions as described in the third forum topic
"X4 Post update - How"
Following those instruction fixed my issues and crashes with X4.
Anyone getting an error message when starting backplot? I'm getting "Corrupt or Invalid file. Contact your local Mastercam dealer" when I start a backplot even thought the back[plot appears okay.
Running X4.
Our posts are set-up to go only from 0-359.999 and the mackine parameters are set the same way. Works great that way and thus never any un-wind issues etc.
What kind of machine and control? tnc's have a bore milling cycle thatt can be uesed with 5 axis drillng. Really easy to program without using tool planes
