  1. Nice pics Greg. I don't see any Green Bay pics though. Do you hit away games? I won a prize pack from JD earlier this year. We had great seats and a bunch of t-shirts. Last week I got an email from them saying to bring it to the game for a gift. I thought we'd get a pin or something. But we got more shirts and free drinks (my wife had many). They treated us well. I can see you're a real fan, that's great! I'm not a McNabb fan, but I admit, he is getting the job done. Maybe we'll see ya in the playoffs. Later ScottyB. a big fan.
  2. Surface, Nice post...Snow, football, and 200th post! Way to go. If we keep on this topic I'll hit 200 by the end of the day also. ScottyB. trying to focus, but it's Monday.
  3. Guys, I'm drooling on my keyboard here. My plow is on my truck waiting for a big event. But it doesn't snow like it used to. Even the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field was just slightly chilled yesterday. I only needed gloves on my drinking hand. There may be a storm on the horizon, but get this...the weather man basically said he doesn't know what we'll get so he'll just wait til tomorrow morning and then tell us what's on the ground. WTF!!! Nice pics. Have a good day. ScottyB dreamin' of a white Christmas.

  5. This is the only place that "tool10" appears. 'Rekd, I found "bug 2", but I didn't find the other line. 6. Not to sound dumb here Rekd, but where do I find the debug switch. I thought it would be on the Update screen, but maybe not. Kin ya give me a hint? ScottyB. lookin everywhere.
  7. It would save a great deal of time if when I said "Oh F**k" MC would automatically UNDO. That would be much quicker than ALT-U. ScottyB. would need a sound proof room. I like the thought though.
  8. Troy, That is NICE! I'm in WI and I didn't see anything like that. That looks like a Northwoods buck. Oneida County? I didn't drop anything this year, but I had the best time in years. Later
  9. Upon running my v8 Heian post through the v9 update, I now get the following text (as in lines 125, 135), which gives an alarm. Any ideas as to where this is coming from and how to stop it? 10. That's funny...Where I work, people ask if it's possible to run metal on our machine. Our Heian is buried in sawdust 20hrs a day, 5 days a week. Going on 8 years. Just take care of it. Use vacuum, clean up well, and clean your filters. As was said before, wood dust can be very flamable. I wouldn't machine wood in the middle of a metal shop without some major precautions. Later
  11. While we're on the subject... 2 thumbs up to W. for flying into Iraq last week. That had to be a huge morale booster for our troops. The best part was watching all the media dorks biatching because nobody told them the plan. IMHO, The less the media knows, the better. Some coverage during the war was nice, but It's nice to see that big brother can sneak one by "not so" big brother. I've told my wife since the begining of the war..."I have confidence that our government is at least a little bit smarter than the media." BTW, Slick Willy was just a few miles from our house once...I didn't go.

  13. Rich, Awesom pics, congrats to your son! Where were you hunting. Looks like paradise to me. I'd love to give that a shot someday. Keep the pics comin' guys. That's funny, I've now seen more deer from my monitor than from my stand. (don't tell my wife) By the way, I told my wife I was going hunting afterwork and then I may play cards with the guys tonight. She said OK. I said I'm going hunting tomorrow morning. She said OK. I said I'm going hunting on Friday. She said OK. I said I'm playing cards with my buddies, who have been gone all week, on Sat. night. She said OK. Do you think this is a trap???? ScottyB.
  14. Nice buck, Dan! You don't see those everyday. Will that one be over the fireplace? I can't wait to post a pic of my buck, but...first I have to get one. Last night was good though. I took my 4 year old son out to the deer stand and we drank hot cocoa, played cards, and saw a small buck trot past us at 40 yards. It made his day and my season. The outdoor life is good. ScottyB. leavin' at 2, on the stand by 3.
  15. I'm not sure about the new machines but one of my employers has a Pro120 and it is a bit primative compared to our Heian or anything else with a Fanuc controller. The Multicams are popular and work well for medium duty work, but if I were you I would compare controllers just to see which is more user friendly. My biggest pet peave is that you can't edit the program at the machine and you don't have hands on control of some functions (compared to others) That's my 2 cents.
  16. I was out there, but with no results. My brother got a buck opening morning, but I only saw 7 deer in 2 days. The weather in NE Wisconsin was less than ideal. 20-35 MPH wind and 40 degrees on Sat. Then we got 2" of rain on Sunday morning and the wind continued. This morning it is 20 degrees and blowing snow. My dad is out there now, but I'm betting he's sleeping by the woodstove in the deer shack by now. I'm here at work and I'll give it another shot tonight. Hopefully the weather will coop. by the weekend. Happy Hunting ScottyB up $20 playing cards though.
  17. I learned MC v5 on May 13 1996.(Looking at certificate) I thank the instructors at Stiles Machinery for teaching hand writen G-Code first. It was and still is very valuable. Since we're in the wood business, v5.5 had everything I needed 'til a few months ago. I'm just getting to know the perks in v9. I recently took a second job helping a guy get into CNC's. He bought BOBCAD. That has been the cause of many headaches. My appreciation of MC grows with every minute of working with that! I actually gave up and wrote a program by hand the other day because I couldn't handle it! After we get over the hump I will strongly suggest MC. Then my life will be better. Oh, I also use Woodwop on a daily basis. It is basic but does well with our Weeke PTP. ScottyB.
  18. Motty, "My icecream could fall into a pile of sheet and I'd still eat it." Hey Brent, Are you headed into the woods tomorrow? Good luck to all the deer hunters out there. Hopefully we can post some pics in a week. ScottyB shootin' da big one.
  19. Motty, LOL. Do you remember the Ice Cream man? "You can't have none 'cause yo mama's on welfare!" It made me sick to hear that Jacko would turn himself in at his earliest convenience. Whatever happened to kickin down doors and cuff'n the bad guys. ScottyB burning my Thriller tape tonight.
  20. Good job Rob, I saw that in a double feature with "Couch Trip" Couch Trip was terrible.
  21. Rekd, V5.5 had a form of Lead in/out. I agree the pic looks like the backplot. I was using V5.5 up until just a few months ago. I find myself doing things the v5 way instead of letting v9 do it for me. I'm finding new tricks everyday. Someone's signature says "I looked at my own program and thought, what was this guy thinking." I find that very true with programs that I wrote a year ago. I don't even bother trying to figure out my old macros anymore, I just start over. Good luck. ScottyB a student of this forum.
  22. quote: "I want my two dollars". Better off dead is my wife's favorite movie. Motty, I saw that Eddie Murphy movie at 3am about 15 years ago and I don't know why it stuck, but I can't get that bit out of my head. I'm suprised someone else shares my twisted sence of humor. How about "Owen, you fat little xxxx, get your ash back here." Or "The night was wet, yet it was raining." (same movie) This is fun. [ 11-20-2003, 09:49 AM: Message edited by: ScottyB ]
  23. quote: "Then I ate some rotten berries, and man I had some strong gas sneaking out of my butt that day" Shrek never comes out of the DVD Player. Shrek 2 is coming out in spring. I hope it's as good. quote: " How Do you Like them apples" Goodwill Hunting??? I think. My favorite line to throw out at parties..."Norton, I've been watching you, and I know you've been watching me..." I also like to quote Andrew Dice Clay, but there's nothing I can post here. ScottyB feelin' like Siskel or Ebert
  24. Hardmill, Is that from Farris Bueller? There are some great lines in there also. As far as Jacko, I'm thinking they really have something on him this time. I would think a judge would be hesitant to issue a search warrant and an arrest warrant unless they weren't going to get embarrassed. I also think any parent who still lets there kids play with Mikey is guilty of stupidity anyway. I agree, talented musician, but what a freak!
