  1. Good Day, The shift key is used during general selection which defaults to single and window. By depressing the shift key it will allow connected entities to be selected using chain, without changing the default selection type ( single and window ) Tony G CNCme Engineering X Beta Site SO Almost Employed Senior Programmer N.E Massachusetts - Southern New Hampshire _________________________________________ End mills and tooling are like The "AMMO" And coolant and chips are like the enemy Under your boots as you advance in the Manufacturing Battle -------------------------------------------------

  10. Good day, OG I am having trouble with a new Fanuc 0ie control on a vert. mill with NC code data of arcs with: G3 X2.3465 Y2.3124 Ixxx jxxx X2.3466 Yxxx Ixxx Jxxx Note : the X or Y value only changes .0001 or .0002 and the machine generates a full circle which violates then part geometry. does not show in backplot or Cimco backplot. I had to switch to "R" NC data This happened about 5 times in 4 programs anyone have this happen? 17. Good night, If your usng a Ver 7 or before post chances you are losing alot of funtionality that ver 9 or better would have. just take a ver 9 or better post and build it like the f'd-up post, its not that hard. You should get a new S code for every operation, even with the same tool. I had posts that I brought along for years and they didnt work after many versions. 25. Good Day, The funtion of filtering is to make xy steping on curved surfaces smooth or rough. By making the xy steping on curved surfaces smoother, it makes the NC code much larger which limits machines with small memories. Then the filtering has the ability to change "xy steping on curved surfaces" into single line arc moves which gives a very smoth apperance. Example, a 40 line xy move on a curve with filter turned on can generate a single G02 or G03 arc move.
