Hi Bill,
Only mill here.
It is all in X, Mill, Wire and Lathe.
So you only have to upgrade your Haspcode.
The only problem can be when you bought a separate seat, you will have 1 mill hasp, and 1 wire hasp.
I don't know how to handle that.
David,
Convert the 4 files to MCX.
Then in your 5ax-file, rightclick in the op-manager and choose import. Direct to the map with the 4 MCX files, then you can import the operations and if you want, you can also import the operations-Geo.

In the HST syle dialog boxes, selecting a tool sets many options to the tool default. It's there for quickly configuring settings based on the tool, and if you reselect the tool, you may trick it into thinking you've picked a new one. There's discussion about making it a little less eager to do this on reselects, but I believe step over is one of the fields that is reset. Were you reselecting the tool?

My HST Toolpaths do'nt take over the Step over and Step down.
When reselecting the tool the Step down switches back to 10% of the tool Diam.
Happened here to, some times.

What I'm saying is if the tool plus the Arc lead will not fit inside the pocket MC will not backplot the Arc lead InOut moves.MC knows it will create a gouge
Have you tried with the 'gouge check' in the entry menu disabled?
Once i had an contour toolpath (in V9) where the gouge check removed the lead inout, while there was no gouging.
Thad, thanks
Uncheck the "look ahead" in V9 and in X, and you see more the differents.
for that i said:

the toolpath from X is not as clean as that what i liked from V9 (and previous)
I found (the hard way ) that an 2D Swept toolpath in X-Mr2 is not the same as the 2D Swept in V9.
In V9 the 2D Swept always is/was a very clean toolpath that I often use for runners in molds.
Now in X there were some very short arcs that resulted to full arcs in my NC-file.
I know that full arcs are from the post.
On the other hand, the toolpath from X is not as clean as that what i liked from V9 (and previous)
The (heidenhain 426/430 3ax)post we've from our reseller consist of an .exe, an .pst and a .set-file.
The exe-file is the post and generate the NC-code direct from the NCI with some information from the pst and the set files. This post do not use the 'MP.dll'.
This post is fast in generating the NC-program.
My reseller made all the changes i want.(exept one)
It's a PITA to get the correct helical move.
My ? :
Is this an 'old-style' post, or just an 'other-style' post?
Are we on the right track for the future, or is it better to change to maybe the in-house post?, then i also can do the changes by myself.
Skyline,
IMO Splitting the arc and the Z-move is NOT a good idea.!!
You can go with Lee, and chose linarise in your parameters.
But i think a good post (in-house) is a better way.

But if he doesn"t have maintenence he won't be able to run it Steve. Prolly why they sent him SP2.
If your Dongle/Hasp is coded for MR2 you can download and run MR2
When hitting 'Esc' within an function, I expect that the function wil be closed without executing that function, like it was in V9.
In VX the 'Esc' give accept and close
How can i exit an function without executing??
