  3. toolfab, i looked at your part and like mayday said i can not understand why you would need such a part as compared to what you could buy from any of numeras companies.dont get me wrong just curious.is this some proprietary thing or something along those lines? i believe it could be edm'd with some time and thought, but why. i believe with a inserted tool like that you would not be doing any finish work,so why the need for specialty tool? just wondering. good luck on your quest hopefully youll come out ahead. trevor
  4. nice thought jimmy. but jeeze we just got the new flame icon,oh well trevor

  15. thad, the book i refrenced was only to get him pointed in the right direction. i personaly have had only about 10 hours of formal training from my reseller, and that was aprox.6 years ago back then i did not even know how to create a flat boundarie.vitually all i know now is self taught from trial and error and countless hours of my own time playing with the software.since i found this sight i have not opened a manual at all.i believe now that any manual is 1 or 2 fellas instuction , and with this board i can get 7000 peoples input theoreticly . i did not mean to promote one book over another just simply stating a book that is on the market. trevor
  16. gcode thanks, heres another question would say 2 gig of ram with dual prossesor help to run both sessions at same time if i set the affinity and priority to the apps running? trevor
  17. try the book from dr lin, and dr shiue. simply called mastercam. your dealer should be able to get one for you (not a cheep book) i dont know if a ver 9 book is out yet i know they had one for ver 8. should still get you going in the right direction thou. hth, trevor

  19. good day all, before i begin yes i did a search on this topic and picked up a little info. i thought id start a new thread other than bumpping an old one. there could be a slight chance of me getting a new set up.i would like to here from folks that are running dual monitor set-ups(gcode,jay and anyone else) what would be nice to hear is what your computer is size wise and the likes. the o/s ill be using is win nt. i would like to run mc on one screen and my verify and misc. on the other. also would i be able to have pro-e on one screen and mc on another at the same time? im using mc v9.1 w/solids and right now metacut for verify, and pro-e 2001 any info or tips greatly appreciated thanks ,trevor
  20. sorry to hear that jay dont stay up working on it to late ,after all its friday and you have a family thats more important. trevor
  21. metalflak, quote: __________________________________________________ ....we're talking about Vericut right? Not Metacut utils __________________________________________________ i interpret you question as how to improve mc verify. is that what your asking? what ron is stating is the surface shading i believe. what james said will get what you want in my opinion it does not matter what any vrify software shows other than gouges or violations. verify is a perfect world scenario so why make it look super smooth,if your tool is dull or chiped the software does not know that nor does it care. i would set up the color map to show difrent colors for stock amounts and run a gouge check. jm2c, trevor

david, quote: __________________________________________________ If anyone in this forum ever comes down under I'll buy you a real beer __________________________________________________ does that mean if i'm down under i need to drink fosters standing on my head? ive been around frat houses when i was younger and that does not look like fun. not to steel your thread just trying to lighten your mood . hope all goes well with your situation. btw, cnc should be able to at least e-mail you another temp code for 30 days until your perm code arives from your reseller. trevor
  23. iskander, i too have lots of temp files. over 2 gig on one box and about 1 gig on the other computer. i have in the past deleted them with no ill effects. i am thinking of adding that directory to my perl purge, now that i think of it. i generaly run pearl every day to clean house on exess .extentions. (more so with pro-e ill add) jm2c trevor
  24. +1 to multiple posts. wehre im at now i only run makinos but still have post specific.1 for the snc's and 1 for the v55. in the past i did the same, 1 post for one machine. just my thoughts, trevor
