BTW We only only have dialdown at home. but that is ok because I don't get to used a computer much at home. The wife has one in her office, the kids have one in the living room and I suppose that mine would be the one in the basement(dungeon) old 450 Mhz with no internet conection junky fuzzzy screen....
It was put there about a month ago. That is when I scrolled across it. I do forget about it so thanks for being even slower than me and reminding me.
Jody
oh hey Rekd I typed slow so that you can read this at home.
Does anyone have an extra or know where to get an old round hurco plug end. I have a need to drip feed to a KM5 and thought that we had an extra cable but does not have the round plug.
Thank you
Jody
I want to know why Jay has not been doing this all along. what the h3ll are we paying him for. J/K I mean thanks Jay you are doing a good job and thanks for the hosting the FTP site.
I think the year thing is a good idea.
Jody
Lee I did that also and i did not work, thank you.
I sent it to Pete and he had it logged as a Defect. he said "Simple solids seem to work fine, but something about the complexity causes the merge to fail."
I guess that I will bring the solid in as surface and try to make a solid out of them to subtract out the new part.
thank you
jody
I was tring to merge the new part in to the old cavity blocks and I get an
'Error in GETMOD'
'parasolid kernel interface erroe KI code 555 Archived attribute defns don't match current'
both files were parasolids. if I try to us the parasolids to merge I get that error. if I save them as MC9 files I get the same error.
thank you
Jody
download the Printkey2000.zip from the 'tools' dir. on the FTP. it is very easy to do a print screen with and it inverts one color. so i swapped black with a lite gray to save on ink.
Jody
I dont know i tried a few sldptr files and none of them bring in a tree. i dont think that the mc direct is suppose to bring the tree in like it says.
thanks
Jody
I don't use restmill alot but I do use it enough to know that I have not had the problem that you are having. I think it does retact alot but it is only picking out corners or getting the walls closer to finish.
I just uploaded a file into the MC9 directory called (Copy of 7081 B CAVITY CUT.zip) as an example.
we cut that yesterday.
Jody
We have a haas and do not have many problems getting a file off of the computer that is networked to. but from the computer I can not drop a program on to the haas's hard drive. I have talk to 6 to 8 different tech support at haas and our dealer and nobody will help me. they say let me email you the instructions and i say the same ones the last guy sent. yes then it should work try it again. jerks.
the one thing that I found out is that if you set up another user on the computer (like the book says) be sure that you you all caps for the password the haas does not have lowercase letters. I think I spend two to three weeks on and off when I pull my head out of my a$$ and thought of that
I hope that helps

I dont have the original SW file. I have a good parasolid of it so I dont need it converted. I am just trying to find out if having the designer send us SBL files is worth it.
Thank for looking at that file.
Jody
I just started using the converter also. I got two files from the designer the B side cavity came in perfect. The A side starts to come in then right when you think it is done MC shuts down. Could somebody look at the file and see if you get the same results. It is on Cadcam's FTP here.

Thank you
