  1. I believe that there are some aspects of the product that will be unlocked for the end user possibly for the 2025 release.
  2. You will need to reach out to your re-seller for support for the mill-turn product for adding components and possibly modifying your post.
  3. That update, plus 2 more. Update 4 - Oct 23 2023 Update 5 - Dec 5 2023 https://my.mastercam.com/hubs/downloads/
  4. It looks like Update 3 updated the translator https://www.mastercam.com/support/technical-support/translators/version/2021/ Check your Mcam version #, with Mcam open press alt+v If you have maintenance, upgrade your version here https://my.mastercam.com/hubs/downloads/
  5. No you are not doing anything wrong. I would guess that Solidworks 2021 was released after Mcam2021 so translators are not updated at time of release. They may have been updated with that versions last update (Update 3 for 2021). This has generally been the case for most of the recent releases. Save your part out of Solidworks as A Parasolid and then bring into Mcam. Or update your version of Mcam. P.S. Welcome to the forum!!
  6. A google search of custom threads just in case you are in need of further edumacation on said topic. https://www.google.com/search?q=custom+thread+mastercam&rlz=1C1GCEU_enCA976CA976&oq=Custom+Threads+mas&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCAgCEAAYFhgeMgYIABBFGDkyCAgBEAAYFhgeMggIAhAAGBYYHjINCAMQABiGAxiABBiKBdIBCjI2NDcyajBqMTWoAgCwAgA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8#ip=1
  7. Response removed, already answered by Gcode above.
  8. There is some mating ability achievable by using Model Prep - Solid Position.
  9. AAH.. ok, explains the missing icons on mine then.
  10. I am not aware of any capable of doing what you are asking. If this is just for a one off then handle this at the machine. If you have multiple tools and want them all to have the .24 added then I would add that change to the work offset (G54 or whatever..) If its just one tool then add that number to the tool Z offset.
  11. https://www.mastercam.com/solutions/mill-turn/ A video too..
  12. See if this link works. You will most probably have to sign up to CNC Software's Mastercam if you haven't already to see the article. https://my.mastercam.com/knowledgebase/mastercam-part-files-display-with-black-or-clear-thumbnail-icons-instead-of-part-preview/
  13. Option 2 is my approach. Im going to use my .75" u-drill as an eg. The tool is touched off the same way as a boring bar by referencing the outside insert. To drill I either create a line at centre then move line by half drill dia, .375" and create a finish contour to handle the drilling. Another way I handle the drilling then boring is to have a points array and program point to point. The points array I keep in A seperate file that I can merge in when needed. This is all handled with 1 tool and 1 tool offset
  14. If you use pre-staged tooling then the time between indexing to different tools is negated as the next tool will already be waiting. Goto Machine - Machine Definition - Control Definition - Tool - Mill - Enable staged tool routines
  15. You mean you haven't already Sure is , just got some from the guy above... tastes like chocolate. That's how I know it's legit
  16. I had one a while back, honestly, the only thing I used it for was to help me remove slivers from my hands and / or fingers. Are you intending to use it to check cutting edges and what not?
  17. If you go to Machine - Machine Definition, in the bottom right window expand spindle group - Pic 1 (probably left as that is normally the main spindle) Right click on Lathe Spindle C Axis - Properties, bottom right there are options for continuous positioning - Pic2
  18. The 5 axis engine is good for parts that have multiple ops. Now with progressive stock models verifying has become a quicker and easier process.
  19. I have no idea really, you mean not working in Mastercam or your machine?
