Im not sure if this has an effect or not,
Goto Machine Definition, in machine Configuration expand Tool Changer Group
Right click on Automatic Tool Changer - Properties there are some time values that can be altered.
What does the code look like?
If the program is telling you that it is at Z 0 and your work and tool offsets are correct then that is what it is.
When you touched off on the face of the part did you face measured did you then shift the work offset by .05"?
If you touched off and did a face measure then that will be 0.
We do, but our backups have a shelf life of 6 months and this project sort of pops up once a year.
My dealer is these guys (Inhouse) so if some one from here can give a direction to head towards I would be grateful.
Thanks for the suggestion.
On a day to day basis a couple of VMC, Haas and Fadals ( apparently we got the Fadals when Noah auctioned off his boat building shop)
and a duel spindle lathe.
Occasionally I will lend a programming hand to Router, Waterjet, Laser and 5 axis (not full 5 axis but a lot of 3+2 stuff)
I have A file which was accidently saved as an educational file while mucking around with one of the HLE versions.
Is there a way to convert this file back to an 'industrial' file.
This is one of the bosses private projects that gets brought up and then pushed to the back -burner every 6 months or so.
There a few different charts that show what sort of engagement is needed for material types,
here is one eg https://littlemachineshop.com/reference/tapdrill.php
This is exactly how I understand it to work hence my suggestion.
Thank you for the detailed explanation.
If it is wrong then both you and I stand corrected.
Create a new facing op.
I'm guessing that all those ops were from op1 ported over to op2.
Sometimes the ops still stay tied to previous stock which is why they sometimes don't show the stock being updated.
You said you created new stock so the problem may be the op itself.
I don't have 2019 loaded anymore but in 2020 and 2024 I went to stock settings and just cycled through the tabs in properties.
This caused the facing op to go dirty, re-executed face op now it is all good.
