Yeah? I've been spreading honey on this for the last 2 years. Quite frankly, 15 years ago I wrote better, auto, thread-milling cycles in MS Excel. And, my mouse worked fine when doing it.
I would like to be able to click on a solid edge and define MY OWN DIAMETER!!! Jesus BFin C! Why is this so hard for MC? Why must I create and define a point? Tired of MC ASSuming what diameter I want to cut. A recommendation is fine, JUST LET ME CHANGE IT!
There seems to be issues with the migration tool in 2019. What I ended up doing was migrating to a new folder and then manually copying the new files to where I wanted them. The mechine definitions are not the only files I had problems with. Ops, tool libraries and just about everything else I tried to migrate.
The microsoft mouse drivers are probably causing the problem. They are probably also causing the extreme wet weather we have been having lately, as well.
I passed Kindergarten. By 3rd grade I got pointed scissors.
What I did was create a rectangle, selected the "trim" operation and defined that rectangle as my boundary. Then I selected outside of that rectangle for toolpath to keep. This eliminated excessive overlap on the top edge.
I also created an extra drive surface to prevent the cutter from crashing into the part at the beginning of the cut. Direction was not working properly (another bug).
You can leave extra stock on the drive surface if it is still gouging.
Also, "allow positive Z motion along surface".
What's interesting is MC won't perform a retract after each pass unless you have the above selected. Looks like a bug.
I also use the 3d for zooming. However, my delete is execute by clicking the wheel on my trackball. It has worked on all versions of MC until 2019.

2019 update 2.
My solid just disappeared. Nowhere on the level list could I find a single entity. created another entity on a new level and that new level did not appear on the level list. Blank/hide was not used. The strangest thing was the solid was still listed on the solid's tree. On the level's manager I clicked "find level from geometry" and selected the solid from the solid tree. That did nothing. I finally created a duplicate from the solid in the solid's tree and a new solid appeared. Then I deleted the original from the solid's tree.
