  1. That's exactly what my post does. Only what you want to post. Like I said, the standard MC forms are extremely limited.
  2. Figures. Thank you. Does not make much sense to not have a NCI parameter.
  3. Does anyone know the NCI parameter number for the tool holder catalog ID listed under the "Edit Holder" tab?
  4. I created a custom post for doing this. I do not like using the standard MC outputs because they are very limited. The NCI variable for extension is 20007 #3. The way I do this in post processors is I convert the numbers to letters. For example: 20007#3 will be booog3 in my post. Yes, the #3 is left as 3. This system makes it EXTREMELY easy to look at a post and know exactly what NCI variable a formula is using.
  5. Which version? Initial? Update 1? Update 2? Maybe you got an early release of update 3?
  6. Why isn't "Associative" a selection possibility when editing common parameters for things like Clearance height?
  7. He can leave the retract point at .1" but change it to "incremental". The retract is based upon the "top of stock" position and not the point selected.
  8. When you move a label with a leader using "analyze properties" the arrowhead of the leader stays locked to the original position. When you move the entire thing with transform then there is no way to lock the arrowhead to a new entity, from what I see.
  9. No. You can drag the note, but the leader stays attached to the initial point.
  10. That does sound easy. I wonder if it works.
  11. You cannot have default selection settings for anything in Mastercam. It's the law.
  12. I could never get it to work either. I usually just export and import.
  13. We stopped using MC4SW and got the full version. The install is a few weeks old and just had this popup now. Not all the time.
  14. It would be nice if we could click on the arrow of the drafting notes to relocate them with Dynamic transform instead of the middle of the note, or both.
  15. Yes, I know they have been there for many versions. I have always used them. My point is, why am I now receiving this message when I have them turned on in Configuration? Who said I skipped version upgrades?
  16. Upon opening I get the messgae " The part being loaded contains Viewsheets. Do you want to activate this feature? Yes or No Missing the radial button for DUH.
  17. I will be happy will 2x 34" monitors running quad resolution.
  18. I just picked up an engineering laptop from ebay. HP zbook 17 i7 processor 17.3" monitor 32gig ram 500gb ssd 750gb spinner K4100m 72x DVD Thunderbolt 3.0 that can run 6x 4K monitors Price paid? $350 plus $20 shipping. on the down side, the page up button is loose and a back vent cover is missing
  19. Like I said, it was not initially intended for MC. Actually, it does add value to the Cam package when the guy who used to run the fry machine at McDonalds is now runnng a $200,000 CNC and can't understand things like "Flip part 180 degrees around Y axis". Most shops might crash a machine every 6 months. These guys do it every 6 hours.
  20. You are just seeing the outside. You should see all of the inner components That is where it gets impressive.
  21. Yes, I can see it in NX. I drew it in NX. There are no problems there. I have not tried to open it directly in MC, just as a merge. I have searched all of the merge options and there is nothing I see that would cause this. I will try a direct open next. Thanks
  22. You still have to retype the value for peck #2. I was wanting to get around updating tool libraries quickly. Thanks
