Oh c'mon 5axis. Do we really need to hear your survival stories again? Can I at least offer you a band aid? How many purple hearts do you have pinned to your forehead now? I am sure you can look back and see plenty of times I have helped people through their suffering.
The forum is the club.
Machine a complete arc when we should not? I have never done that. Are you using 2021 beta, or something?
Spoken like a true American. I'm sorry, why don't you have any freedom anymore? LOL
Why can't we copy a process from one lathe machine group and paste it to another and be able to change the WCS to the current one unless we export the process and import it back in? The way the lathe WCS's are handled are a headache.
I used to do these type of threads. First of all, I never use zigzag for anything. Wearing on both sides usually causes premature insert failure. I use the lead in that cuts along the right side of the thread and program the thread according to that shape only. Never have a problem.
"Undocumented feature"? Is that a euphemism? LOL. I will start telling our customers that whenever we make bad parts. We could charge them extra for undocumented features. LOL.
Just get one of these:

And, be sure to get the 5 wire cable. 3 will not drip.
I had this problem. I uninstalled, rebooted and reinstalled and I was able to reprogram. For some reason the program specific options were not available when I first installed it.
Also export your settings when you are done. When the software crashes it usually destroys your settings file.
Honestly, I cannot do CADCAM without it. I have 4 of the expensive ones with all the LCD features. However, I turn the LCD off because I find it useless. I do program the buttons. I would recommend the one with no LCD and with buttons. They were selling these on EBAY for a huge discount if you qualified as an educator. I made up a phony check stub in MS Excel saying I worked at a college and got the discount. Normally $400. Discount $279.
