Hi All i'm new to MasterCAM and i created a piece in AutoCAD (a lot of stuffing around), but i brought into MasterCAM and set out all the tool paths and everything, and generated the g code, but... The problem it that i have the Z axis starts at 30mm instead of 0 in the Gcode and this is screwing up my CNC because it isn't built to lift up by 30mm on the Z axis., and the only way i can imagine to make it work is by going through the g code and changing every "30" value to 0 and every "29" Value to -1 and so on, how can i fix thins pre Gcode in MasterCAM. and secondly i am milling tapered holes two main ones of different sizes and one of the holes will not mill all the way through on the simulated mill, which i also don't know how to fix, i am getting a little frustrated, and all the help i can get would be greatly appreciated Regards Symon Ps the file i am using is attached below carby plate 1.mcx-8

Hi there Everyone, I'm from Portugal and I've been working and learning Mastercam for a few months in the company where i work, we have a CNC router with Fanuc Controller and everything works has it should. A couple of months ago a friend of mine asked me to help him programming a wood CNC, a Morbidelli Author xxxxx (I don´t know the model exactly) and i just can't get the thing running. The machine has a USB port to import the files that are created externally. I need some help to get the thing right, can you please tell me how do i import the g code from Mastercam to the machine? Your help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mastercam X9 HLE (Home Learning Edition) Crashing

Hello to whomever reads this, I am a student just beginning learn Mastercam. I am using Mastercam X9 HLE (Home Learning Edition) and it worked for a few weeks with no problem. Now it doesn't even open and directs me to the crash report message in the picture I uploaded. I have submitted the forms in the crash report twice and nothing happened. I have also tried uninstalling and re-installing it, but it still sends me to the crash report. Anyone have any advice on how to get it running again? My sincerest thanks, KartEnthusiast

I.T. has finally decided to give me a new computer, so in the mean time I figured it would be a great idea to update from X5 to X8...I would download X9 online, but you pretty much have to be the IT leader in this company with every admin privilege known to man to do such a task; Long story short our reseller sent us an X8 install a while back and it's easier for me to go the disc install route, I'll update to X9 or 10 when we get a hard install disc. Question I have is, do I need to update my post from X5 to X8...any significant changes, or can I use the same post from X5 when I update?
