V9 Verify

I do not have a problem with V9 Verifier and has save my butt on several occaisions. Ive done multi views progams with no problems.

 

The question I have is, why will verify, and only on occasion, process only part of the verify and then stop?

 

Example is after succesfully doing a rough surface pocket then save as an stl to do the next operation of finish surface scallop tool path it will only process only about 15% of the tool path and then go on to do nothing. meanwhile the verifier says it is still processing information and does not process the cutting motion.

 

What am I doing wrong here?

 

I've been following the X verify post and do not want to create any flamings here.

 

Just point me in the reight direction and I will be on my way.

Have you looked in the Verify/Configuration to see if the "Stop on Collision" switch is checked on? This may be what's going on. When you experience this Verify stoppage, is there a message in the Prompt area of the screen? If there is, often that message will give you a clue as to what it's really trying to do. If the "Stop on Collision" switch is on, it's just waiting for the user to press "Play" again before it will continue with the Verify. HTH

No there is not any pop up prompting going on. I will check out the stop on collision box and get back to you.

There should'nt be any prompt, just push play again.

I'm still not having any luck. I put the file in the ftp in the MC9 folder file name V9_verify.zip

I run it through with no problems but cannot run the 2nd op-surface finish scollop.Comes up with an error reading from Surface Machining Temp File .Is this where it is stopping when you run it through your verify.

This is what your part should have looked like, if only....

 

Took 2 minutes to run thru the 2nd op with show tool on and with STL Stock.

 

MC Verify took 15 minutes and would not show the STL stock

 

I refuse to do goosesteps.

I also like Predator for verification. Very fast and good STL capabilities. Vericut is probably the best one around, but twice the cost.

It used to be free, it came with Mastercam up til V7.1

Considering all the flack about the internal verify. Why didn't they just keep providing this tool? Or link it in like the cimco editor? Looks nice from the creen capture?

I havn't been able to get the chook to work since

Mastercam updated V9 to SP1.

Are any of the operations ghosted out? I've had verify stop at a ghosted op when it was turned on. If you do uncheck that operation and try it again.
