John,

I've noticed a quirk when trying to select

surface stuff before, especially if you have Window pick turned on.

Try clcking on the white arrow first, then analyize, the your surface entity.

That works for me, but I have solids so it may not be a valid method on your system.

Yeah Bruce, what happened to Analyze ONLY arc, splines, lines etc etc If I pick analyze entity properties and pick an edge curve on a surface more often than not you grab the surface even if if the surface shading is turned off or transucent :>(

In V9 it was pretty easy to analyze an edge curve if the surface was translucent.

It seems to me it's just another thing CNC have changed the way its done from V9.

You have to select Only/Entities/Arcs then select the Arc now hit Analyze.Just backwards from ALL other MC versions.

It would prob be easier to learn MCX if you never used previous MC versions.Where just use to doing things the way we have for years

Thanks Steve,

I was having the same problem as Bruce today,

checking some rads on a surface I don't like the preselection system, every time you move your mouse across the screen all the surfaces are being highlighted, annoying.Well I think so anyway frown.gif

quote:

Just been reading about Levels.all OK.

in V9 Screen / Change Levels.

How do you change the level of an entity? in X.

quote:

Select the entity/entities ( they turn yellow)

right click the level manager box on the bottom of the screen. Click OK or choose a different level

and click OK

quote:

Right click over "Level" in status bar at bottom of screen. Pick geometry to change, end selection. Pop-up should ask for your info.

Ok I tried these ideas and they didn't work. all I want to do is copy something from one level to another. I can get it to move but not copy. any help would be great. thanks
