I thought at one point that video was labeled X4 dynamic contour? Cool video though.

That's cool Every time I try something like that I get "ERROR...ERROR...ERROR"....

That looks cool only in video. when you have to actualy program it in Mastercam you will get "ERROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR"

2D contour with ramp for roughing and normal 2D contour finishing the gear profile.

watch it again.. note the high speed roughing motion as it roughs out the gear profile..

The video only shows a couple of teeth getting roughed, but it is not a conventional 2D profile

I watched that video the other day and I don't think that is a good part at all to show off Dynamic milling/contour. I would be surprised if they saved much time on that part if it was aluminum like it looked vs doing a straight contour with a finish/spring pass. They need a part with taller walls.

i upload Dynamic sprocket.MCX on the FTP (X4_files folder)

 

 

i create it in less than 1 minutes and it cut exactly like the video....

Just watched the video again. The 2 first toolpaths are normal contour milling. But from 0:48 in the video I can see a new "dynamic rest contour" toolpath
