Not to beat the dead horse....well OK to beat the dead horse. It looks like the lathe package is once front and foremost in Mastercam's development department.

 

Thanks for making it easier and easier to go to the boss and explain why maintenance is a good use of company money.

 

The silence from lather is deafening.

 

Mastercam X5 MU1 is Released Mastercam X5 MU1 is out! This maintenance update is available at no charge to all current Mastercam maintenance customers, and can be downloaded here.

 

The updates and new tools available in Mastercam X5 MU1 include:

 

Mill:

 

  • Enhanced gouge checking and containment options for 3D HST toolpaths.
  • Improved Curve 5-axis and Swarf 5-axis cutting, allowing overlap.
  • Faster Mill tree-style dialog performance.

Router:

 

  • Drag and drop parts from one sheet to another during geometry or toolpath nesting.
  • Output block drilling parameters for easy use on setup sheets and with certain point-to-point routers.

Wire:

 

  • Enhanced 4-axis Direct wirepath accommodates a new suite of geometry and outputs even smoother motion.
  • Added options give you even more precision tab control.

CAD Tools:

 

  • Updated file translators for ACIS, CATIA, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Unigraphics, and Rhino.
  • Easier surface curve selection and solid layout functions.

Where is this whats new pdf you have gcode? Im running mu1 now and there is absolutely nothing on what was FIXED with mu1 (in any module).

It does however list the stuff they released with x5 and a small section they pasted in with the enhancements in mu1.

You should be able to launch it from Help/What's New

 

All the pdf's are in

C:\Program Files (x86)\mcamx5\documentation

 

CNC Software does not provide a fixed bug list..

Occasionally, the beta sites will get one, but they are never released to

the public.

Perhaps the 25 pages I mentioned refered to X5 not X5 MU1.. I didn't look that close..:(
