Machine Keep Crashing

Hello everyone,

 

Lately ( after switching to X5) we start having problem with two of our machines, crashing on 3D Surface roughing programs of any kind. Seems like something went wrong with the post but I cant confirm that. The machines are Chevalier with Fanuc series O-MD and Fanuc series 18-M controllers. Everytime we try to use 3D roughing ( mostly pocket) program machine makes Arc moves and leave big hole/mark in to the block.

Is ther something that needs to be change in my settings/post. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

have you reviewed the settings on the arc page of the control definition.

obviously something is wrong.

1) We need more information regarding your particular part regarding the issue. Possibly upload the .mcx file on the server. 2) Is the crash apparent in the verify utility? 3) Do NOT expect to get any positive feedback with a username like that.

The particular part is any kind of 3D Roughing program....even if its simply pocket.The crash is not apparent in verify utility . After I post the program is when I start to having problems....There is nothing on the screen showing any type of bad moves.

 

Gcode....What needs to be change as far as the Arc settings? Values?

 

I like my nickname. Ther is nothing wrong with the softwear to crash.....as long as you know where the problem is

Try ramping in instead of helix entry.

Its not at the entry spot..seems like its doing that when is trying to smooth the corners.

are your G41 and G42 reversed? or your G02/G03 reversed?

check the control definition settings for arcs. set it to break arcs and do not allow 360 degree arcs.

Also try setting your minimum arc size to .02"

make sure that you are not using R for arcs make sure it is set to IJK

If you are using IJK's already, make sure you have it set correctly.... "start to center" or "center to start"
