This has been a bug for many years. At least 50% of the time, you will get " no projections found". Don't panic. Close Mastercam, then reopen the file and do it again and it will work. This is the only workaround that will guarantee success.

Has any one had any trouble with this. For some reason I cant get MU1 to project a curve on to a surface. any help would be appreciated.

I have had it stop working on many occasion. MC uses a lot of resources (cache) to

stay running and a simple restart of MC has gotten it back working for me every time!

happened to me 4 times this week and its only tuesday!

Ron, ram saver has not work for me as of yet.

I've never really had a problem with Xform project, unless the surface is ridiculously ugly (a lot of folds/overlaps/gaps/etc) and I deal with it a lot. Most of the problems I've had with it come from views/planes. Always make sure you're drawing in the plane you want to project in. If it's not, try going to Planes > = to Gview to make a new plane.

for Xform/Project to work correctly. you need to be sure your contruction plane is set so you're looking down on the surface

it alsoi helps if you make sure the surface normals are all the same and pointing up relative to the desired projection
