Again, Davis' "experience" locked us into exorbitant energy prices for years to come, sold out the state and our tax dollars to special interest groups, and have been driving business out of California.

I want someone without that kind of "experience". By surrounding himself with experienced advisors, he can administer the office effectively.

And I'm wondering what one would get for a $500.00 contribution to the porn star's campaign.

She said last night on some talking head show I was watching that any person who donated $5,000 to her campaign, she would go to dinner with, mind you she said this while jumping up and down rolleyes.gif

I'm thinkin, $5,000 and I get dinner, that sucks!

Ms. Huffington does not even have a chance

I would have to agree after what I heard on the radio today. It was reported that she paid less than $750 income tax over the last two years. She accomplished this feat with "legal" deductions. One of which was 10K for hair and make-up while on a book tour.

Take your pick.....either she is a tax cheat or a very ugly woman. Either way, it doesn't fair well.

A-ron,

The Democrats repeal of the car tax is an election ploy. They will do it by majority vote before the election. This is illegal as it takes a 2/3 super-majority to raise or lower taxes in CA.

They will do this just before the recall election so they can go to the polls as the champion of the working man. After the election a judge will throw it out of court and the tax will still be in effect.

They are doing it, knowing it is illegal and will be thrown out. That's how low the Democrats will go to get a vote.

This may get me flammed eek.gifeek.gifeek.gif ! What if we got someone in office who had to run the state, on budget, like a single income working family confused.gif ? We don't get to "raise our wages (ie. the way the state raises taxes)" to cover extras that someone else told us they wanted us to buy (which benefits them) or we just thought would be fun. Yep, thats right; I propose that rather than "making cuts across the board", thereby wiping out part of necessities to save special intrest funds, we make MAJOR cuts in special intrest funding so that we the parents are not being hounded by the schools for general supplies for the classrooms mad.gif . You know the education system that is supposed to be getting a ton of money from the Lottery frown.gif . Raising taxes is not the answer: Implementing prop. 187 and cutting what is not needed, regardless of popularity, is what is desperatly needed. We are the 5th largest economy in the world and our education ranks near dead last in the country? More money in a failing system is not the answer.

Assembly OK's Driver's Licenses For Illegal Immigrants

~snip~

Gov. Gray Davis has vetoed two similar bills since he became governor, citing law enforcement's concerns about the legislation. After he vetoed the bill last year, the legislature's Latino caucus refused to endorse him for re-election.

Last month, at an anti-recall rally in Los Angeles, the governor said he would sign the latest bill "in a heartbeat" if it reached his desk. ~snip~

Hey Rekd is he a politician. I rest my case. I thin kthe best movie I ever saw was I think Mr smith goes to Washington starring Jimmy Stewart. Him standing there for 24 hours to show is was honest now aday be glad they even show up. I am really getting a kick out of this no-touch thing with the chetta club now that is comedy. Just put all them in Jail and save us all this crap is what I say.

Crazy Millman seeing the crazy things going on around here. biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Grey Davis runs the State the way the mobsters ran that restaurant into the ground in the movie, Goodfellas. Remember the guy who was taken on as a partner in the restaurant, then proceeded to order all sorts of stuff and sell it out the back door for pennies on the dollar to line his own pocket. Eventually the restaurant goes bankrupt?

Grey Davis will sell out a million dollars worth of our tax money for a kickback..... oh yeah, "campaign contribution" of maybe just 10K from some special interest group.

Now, that's awfule return on investment for us taxpayers, but he doesn't care, because, as the mobster explained it in the movie, "It's all profit" to him.

The drivers license for illegal aliens is the worst kind of this type of payoff. Since the drivers license is a "breeder" document, the dem's are selling out the national security and financial security of the state to BUY VOTES by pandering. That type of corruption is treasonous. mad.gif

The type of behavior exhibited by this action is exactly why there is a recall. We need to get rid of these guys before they finish selling us down the river.

Raising taxes is not the answer

I whole heartedly agree. Imagine for a momement privitized garbage pick up, privatized park maintanence, privatized snow plowing ::I live in Wisconsin:: Imagine those three and MANY others that would go out to private contractors for the lowest bid. Private citizens would get wealthy, and could do it for a FRACTION of what the government spends on union wages, let alone the overtime they end up paying out.

Cut the fat, the crap, and the redundant, and give me back MY MONEY!

More reasons you should vote to recall and then not vote for Bustamonte...

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and some retirees are now receiving a Social Security check every month – they are finding that they are getting taxed on 85% of the money we paid to the federal government to "put away," you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which party took Social Security from an independent fund and put it in the general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratic-controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which party put a tax on Social Security?

A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which party increased the tax on Social Security?

A: The Democratic Party with Al Gore casting the deciding vote.

Q: Which party decided to give money to immigrants?

A: That's right, immigrants moved into this country and at 65 got SSI Social Security. The Democratic Party gave that to them although they never paid a dime into it.
