hey Rob!
How you ben bud?
Was checking on you once in a while to see if you posted but never noticed.
now I see you have 6 posts... sorry I missed them.
To answer your question if, if the operation is "gosted" this means it will not be put in the NC file when you post it.
If it's gosted there probably is a reason for it but if you want to turn it off you can right click on that operation and go to posting (on or off).
I'll give you a call on my way to work.
In Imco’s defense this is a great place to work.
They are real easy going and great to work for.
For the past 5 years I could have worked at a shop 80km closer to home for better pay and I still chose to work at this place.
They have a lot of fringe benefits that I will gladly disclose to anyone who is curious. Just email me.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am a CNC programmer/machinist with nearly 14 years experience. I specialize in C.N.C. and CAD/CAM machining but am proficient in most aspects of machine shop manufacturing. I am a hard working individual who takes extreme pride in his work and I would like to share my knowledge and expertise with you.
I currently reside in Ottawa but am hoping to relocate in Alberta. I would be more then will to consider other areas for the right opportunity.
Please email me if you would like more information, references or my resume.

Thanks you for your time.
Best regards,

A trick I like to do is turn on the slow corners, regen only the needed operation then lock that operation before turning the slow corners back off. That way I don't slow down the whole program.
Thanks all.
I'm flying now!
In the end, extending the surfaces and using projection normal to surface in my geometry (as per John's advice), did the trick.
Kannon,
Let me know if you'd like to see the final file I used.
Well axis substitution was working on a few parts but they were less then 180 degrees and had no flat areas.
I tried to use surfaces for tool axis control and it seems to work well except for the areas it decides to skip. Anyone have a clue why it would skip spots when I use surfaces but not when I use lines?
Thanks buddy.
I'm getting closer to what I need.
I found that after I posted the file the code was not comming out like I expected.
There were way to many "Z" and "Y" moves.
So far 3d contour with rotary axis substatution seems to be working .The only problem now is my "A" axis is going to fast for the programmed feed.
