  1. quote: I'm curious what you have to do in V9 that can't be done in X2. I am intrigued as well.
  2. Is anyone running X2 on a Raid setup? If so, what kind of results r u getting? Thanks
  3. I have had the same prob here as well. One guy's looked good in backplot... then trashed his part.
  4. Rakesh, Take a look at this file RAK_62_MATT.MCX HTH
  5. I'll have to look, but I think we might have one in a display case somewhere.
  6. quote: If you're talking about the kind of terminal I'm thinking of, all of your application are run on the server. All the porgrams are on the network with no HD in the computer. It is not your average server. It runs UG and ProE all ready.
  7. Is anyone runnine on a diskless client? Our company is moving us this way for security. Will MCX work? I know it doesnt like saving to a network. Are we going to ne SOL? Thanks in advance.
  8. If it's your finish pass, use a slightly smaller tool and arc around the corners.
  9. Can u cut the pocket from outside in? I have found that this works really well for roughing. You can use the Highfeed option as well. It well calculate chip load and adjust the feed. How about the HST's? OR...you could use the toolpath editor and adjust the feeds. HTH
  10. Anyone roughing basic pockets outside-in?
  11. Solidworks by far. We have Solidworks, UG, Mastercam, ProE, Catia, Inventor, Icem (remember that) here in house. Solidworks and ProE are the most used. Single parts and small assemblies Solidworks shines above all. ProE takes the lead when dealing with large assemblies like say a jet engine.
  12. Just make sure your post is set up for it.
  13. how many do u have in each class?
  14. highfeed button Top right side of the toolpath tab just left of the stick of dynomite. HTH
  15. quote: Welcome to the forum and welcome to the present. (present technology that is)MCX's future looks mighty bright as well.
  16. WOW, 3 minute post time from question to answer. Is that a record?
  17. You need to take out the A moves. what post r u using?
  18. Why not just give everyone a seperate part? Draw straws for which part each student gets.
  19. I noticed they didn't specify "latest version" (or any version for that matter) on there website. The newest stuff for MC we have from them is all V9.
