  1. The only one I've seen in person is the iQ300. And it was sweeeeet. Mike
  2. I don't know about Eurotech, but Miyano's can do the same thing and it's just an M code to slave the sub spindle to the turret. Not a huge deal. If that wasn't the case, it would be a nightmare haha. Mike
  3. Is the bolt really a FFL item? I thought that would only be the receiver. Mike
  4. Put me down for EDM. A CAPABLE edm shop should be able to knock those out pretty quick with the right fixturing and equipment. Trust me, I'm all for doing things complete in the machine but in this case I think you will die on the cycle time and you will never get the quality quite where you want it to be. Mike
  5. Mitsubishi. We do 1000holes /drill 25xd 5/64 in 316SS. Mike
  6. I'm sure Haas would only use the best... Mike
  7. Newtech Swiftcarb can do this for you. Mike
  8. You don't have to get a haas trunnion on a haas. The haas dealer here is a re-seller for Nikken and push those. Mike
  9. You'll be happy with the MMC/MasA5. Plus the training at Mason is top notch. Mike
  10. I think RobK has like 30 of them haha. Wonder how they're doing. Mike
  11. Take a look at Hardinge true grip, Good system. Mike
  12. No chance of milling that. Start research sinker EDM vendor. EDM's that big are defiantly out there although not in every mold shop on the block. Mike
  13. There's some sucker out there that would think he's getting a steal on that thing. You just need to find him. Mike
  14. Did it all the time. Takes the right part though. Usually looser tolerances in easier to machine materials. Lots of tool replacement, HMC is the way to go. +1 Mike
  15. Funny how the builders that only make lathes or mills are some of the best. Mike
  16. IMO as long as it is single path (upper turret only), MC will do well. MC + Vericut would be better. If multi path, no comment. Mike
  17. Haha was just going to post that photo but mic6 beat me to it! Just noticed how weak the area that failed looks. Especially for something as brittle as cast iron. Mike

  19. Is this a straight or right angle holder? What size tools are you using at this RPM? If you are cutting with an EM less than 3/8, take a look at a "geared up" holder with at least 2:1 ratio. That will allow you to run at higher RPM with reduced heat. Mike
  20. I would be really interested in what kind of cut you could take. Foghorn, any experience with this? Mike
  21. That is typical of most live holder when ran for prolonged periods. The duty cycle is pretty pathetic and they will require constant rebuild if doing and serious milling. We have an extra of each holder and swap them out when they start to have abnormal high load. That is one of the main benefits to a B-axis mill turn. Real milling spindle. Mike
