  1. There are thread mill tool files in Tools Folder on cadcams FTP site. HTH
  2. Cool Website Maybe pics in the intro of PCs,Prints,5X machines One fix Sir on home page, 2nd paragraph, 1st sentence. when programming their or parts
  3. I think following Maydays advice about the MPMaster from InHouse and having your reseller tweak it would be even better.
  4. quote: but he thinks the trunnion table can spin like a lathe.. If its a trt series bolton trunnion you are running rubber belts to drive A & B. Trust me you will stretch the belt on B if you try that. Just running it 2 shifts of production as an indexer stretched the belt enough on B that after 3 months it skipped a tooth on the belt and wasn't at "0" when it slammed a 3/16" aircraft drill into the part OD. Think about this, if the rotary turns at 120 degrees a second at it's max od, u r getting about 30 rpm, not even comparable to a lathe.
  5. just use surface toolpaths and let x,y,z do the motion, no need to try and spin it like a lathe Trevor the head is fixed on Haas 5X Trunnion machines
  6. X3 has a Post Parameter Ref Guide pdf. Haven't used X4 so don't know if it has been updated.
  7. Dave, Been awhile but you want something like, #10007=#10077 after you set T7 Don't know if you can use a #variable in G10 lines. Might have moved the tool offset variables to the #15000 series of variables on some of the newer controls. Good Luck
  8. quote: Cause: Hasp emulator Answer/solution Nice computer specs too
  9. Contact http://www.abtoolsinc.com/ and tell them what you need, they can help.
  10. quote: That chook enables or disables certain functions related to surface toolpaths and multi-axis gouge checking features. You run it once and make your changes and then everytime you use those toolpath types those changes are supposed to be set and ready to go.... hth and don't hate "Thee Circle" so much
  11. Have you tried using the STLHeal C-Hook or the STL2surf c-hook ? Alt-C and pick the one u want. HTH
  12. Try reading this thread. http://www.emastercam.com/cgi-bin/ultimate...ic;f=1;t=031184
  13. quote: Oh, man, you should've seen one of the MP700s that my night shift trashed awhile back; the thing was L-shaped...ouch!! Big Mazak with custom monster T-column and Z not all the way back home with MP700 in the spindle when the operator rotated B axis at 100% rapid. 50 taper spindle adapter was all that was left in the spindle. MP700 body coming down the auger and then going up the conveyor and out into the chipbucket. ooooooops
  14. quote: Or do I have to change the value in the setting macro? Yes change it in the macro itself. Everytime you run the probe these macro programs are running in the background prior to actually touching off on the part/workpiece. If you go to single block you can watch the programs change back and forth but it takes forever pushing the "green" button a billion times HTH
  15. quote: Are these variable values stored in the probing macros? ie, if I was to change one of the the values in the controller, when I ran a probing cycle currently in a programme, would it reset those variables (if programmed in the current programme)? Yes, you should find the variable you need to adjust in O9724(Setting Macro). Not all machines keep the macros under original file names/numbers but if they are you will find that O97xx programs are for calibrating the probe and O98xx programs are for measuring.
  16. Rob, quote: Sure the code wasn't maybe MO5 by chance? Shouldn't be posting MO5 to start with. Definitely a strange occurence tho.....
  17. quote: Using the point method you physically have to go back in and change the diameter of the hole. True but MC help specifically states; Choose Toolpaths, Circle paths, Circmill toolpath from the main menu to begin creating a circle mill toolpath. You will then see the Drill Point Selection dialog box where you can select one or more hole locations for the toolpath.
  18. Edit it under Mill Drill Cycles and under Mill Canned Cycle Descriptions
  19. Don, Go to your Control Definition under Text to edit those fields. HTH
  20. Robert, Did you try checking clearance on op2 at 3.0 and post ?
  21. quote: Any thoughts? Old Post ran thru update that doesn't use the newer goodies is my guess. I would be using the Haas post not an updated fanuc post. jm2c good luck
