  1. Kramer took off. I'm the other Steve.
  2. No Jay. I work for Http://www.waterwayplastics.com That's a buddy of mine in Ventura whom makes a pretty Bad to the Bone Supercharger kit!
  3. quote: MC does convert the file into a STL, no matter what you import. There is a process to save the verified op as an .STL. I'm not trying to be a smart a$$. Are you sure your saving it properly? For being the first version for verifing multiple ops. I think its pretty good. I also like Metacut. My boss does'nt want to sign the P.O. for Metacut especially if what I have works just fine. quote: I just think that if some of you guys would wipe the little brown spot off the end of your noses and speak up like this guy (and plenty of others) did, we might just possibly get them to fix something thats been broken for a long time. I have'nt been around as long as some of the people in here. I can say I have been around since V6.0... From Diamonds to chains filtering .NC. Even V7 to V8 regenerating surfacing. You used to not be able to change your spindle without having to dump the op. You got some balls with a general statement like that! I spend a lot of time in here so some people don't have to struggle all those countless hours till midnight trying to figure out how to 3D a mold with draft from a flat drawing of a part without shrink or draft. Stick around ask questions and you might not get so frustrated with something YOU are doing wrong!
  4. I used to say that a long time ago: "Squeeky wheel gets the greese." until someone said "Ha! Squeeky wheel gets replacing!" I though it was funny...... I still have a difficult time understanding specific problems.
  5. quote: Its the squeaky wheel that gets fixed... Ha! The squeeky wheel gets replacing!
  6. That could be cool... It's just like this: I build Molds, someone else may build Wood products. With the huge variations in machining. I got to give the credit to the programmers of MC for giving a generic one to start with. Also to ween out the cracked users. Some of those people that just cruz in here and ask for a post and get flammed are gone. They are'nt looking for help with their post. Their looking for another freebee! Storkmans cool. Be nice or he might deliver the red-hedded step child from Hell! J/K
  7. quote: I want to know what the big deal is if someone asks for a post I agree with the IronChef. I think it has something to do with craked versions of Mastercam. People who don't pay for their software want the benefit of those who pay.
  8. quote: Chip, what's H.H.R.A.??? Good thing I'm not an English Major...
  9. quote: and should have said before, Welcome to the Forum Mudasser ....And he should have said... How do I adjust my post to suit my needs?!

  11. quote: how did this thread get resurrected? Brendan, I was watching the H.H.R.A. awards ceremonies last weekend. I knew I wrote this last year. So I tried to find it... quote: Chip, what's H.H.R.A.??? National Hot Rod Association.
  12. Sorry fella's.... I wasn't trying to pull a fast one. I just had to add to this post.
  13. quote: HD Seem to have just stepped up to the plate for N.H.R.A. Mabe next year you might see (hear) some low R.P.M. competition! Hate to say I told you so! I knew they were gonna kick some A$$. HD won the H.H.R.A. ChampionChip this year!
  14. quote: YOU DO NOT WANT A PRE-MATURE RELEASE. I hate that.... Happens to me all the time!
  15. quote: Is there a way to order the cuts from top down? Yes. Scallop uses inside to outside check box. I usually have to adjust the gap settings to keep the tool from jumping a lot. quote: Does the bias setting effect this? The box is in angles. Mess around with it to see how it works. It's sort of your rotation angle. If you set it to 45 (degs) You can see your scallop crunch the biased angle in side view one of it's transition points. Hope that helps...
  16. quote: It's called extortion in free countries. But hear in the good old USA we call them taxes and insurance. You'll like this one A little boy wanted $100.00 very badly and prayed for weeks, but nothing happened. Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100.00. When the postal authorities received the letter to God, USA, they decided to send it to the President. The president was so amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill. The president thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy. The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 bill and sat down to write a thank-you note to God, which read: "Dear God: Thank you very much for sending the money. However, I noticed that for some reason you sent it through Washington, D..C., and those xxxx deducted $95.00 in taxes."
  17. I thought this was funny..... A man wakes up one morning and there's a gorilla on his roof. So he looks in the yellow pages and sure enough, there's an ad for "Gorilla Removers." He calls the number, and the gorilla remover says he'll be over in 30 minutes. The gorilla remover arrives, and gets out of his van. He's got a ladder, a baseball bat, a shotgun and a mean old pit bull. "What are you going to do," the homeowner asks? "I'm going to put this ladder up against the roof, and then I'm going to go up there and knock the gorilla off the roof with this baseball bat. When the gorilla falls off, the pit bull is trained to grab his nuts and not let go. The gorilla will then be subdued enough for me to put him in the cage in the back of the van." He hands the shotgun to the homeowner. "What's the shotgun for?" asks the homeowner. "If the gorilla knocks ME off the roof, shoot the dog!"
  18. quote: except not very pretty on a machine with excessive backlash That must suck... Happy ThanksGiving Fellas!
  19. That's a bitchen idea Mostly I build big parts and components....
  20. Let's say you have a bore 1.00 at the bottom of a pocket. Bore is near the wall and a has fillet at the top of the bore.... If you set a tolarance and the computer adjusts the profile of the bore and now it can't create that fillet? there are a lot of circumstances that adjust the entire part... I would be curious to see how that works. I'm not saying it doesn't. Pro Engineer is a power house as far as modeling... I'm just saying, I would be curious to see it. quote: When importing a model from Pro e that has unilateral tolerences for example plus/plus or minus/minus. Is there a method to import the geometry to take this into account . The geometry always is at nominal where the tolerence will be +005/+010. Sorry MMan10. not that I know of...
  21. I had a deal like that before... I programmed the pocket (or contour) with draft so numerically, by the time the cutter reached the largest diameter of the tool it was in the clear. 'cause your cutting a pretty trick piece... Good Luck!
