  4. I finally got a post for our mill turn machine and was wondering if there was a easy way of programming somthing like a 45 degree flat on the face of a part in 6 places. I have done this a little but i thing there has got to be a easier way. to get it to work for me I create a solid than my 6 flats and have to change my construction plain for each flat. Is there a simpler way? any help appreciated.

  13. ron it is coming from the lathe library (i'm pretty sure) this is what I see in the post for the insert information #Tool note stoper #String for tool notes stinsert " INSERT - "#String for tool notes stinsert2 #String for tool notes # Tool Comment / Manual Entry Section # -------------------------------------------------------------------------- pparameter$ #Information from parameters if prmcode$ = 10000, stoper = sparameter$ if prmcode$ = 20103, stinsert2 = sparameter$ ptoolcomment #Comment for tool tnote = abs(t$) toffnote = tloffno$ strtool$ = ucase(strtool$) stoper = ucase(stoper) stinsert2 = ucase(stinsert2) i'm just lost but am probably overlooking somthing simple thanks
  14. I am tring to get my tool comment line to output the tool holder information but can’t figure out how. Right now it looks like this which is close ( ROUGH FACE & TURN TOOL - 3 OFFSET - 3 INSERT - CNMG-432 ). What I would like it to look like is ( ROUGH FACE & TURN TOOL - 3 OFFSET - 3 HOLDER - DCLNR-204D INSERT - CNMG-432 ). my post has the following line. "(",*strtool$," "*tnote,"",*toffnote," ",*stinsert,"",*stinsert2,")", e$ does anyone know what i need to add? thanx

With the B axsis at 0 I have some tools that are to long to touch. I can turn the turret to B-90.0 and touch but the ofset is wrong when i go back to "0.0" anyone with a clue on using the tool probe that could help I would appreciate it. I hope i'm explaining this half way decent. Thanks in advance
