Doesn’t always work because you need to get certified to dive but not to drive a boat so
some boat drivers have no idea what that flag is.
Most of them have no idea about anything!
It should be mandatory to take a safety and nav. course.

use side view or number 5 view for the Toolplan Rotate option.
Yes,this is important.
Also,by transforming the toolpath, you can watch it in verify.
If you really want to learn some good rotary stuff, try Mikes new Cd.
I just got it and it is great..

I am needing to create a "v" shape ( < ) in the face of the part but I cannot seem to create a face grooving tool in Mastercam lathe. Do you mean that you have never created a 'custom tool' and need help?
If so,I can help you.
The other thing I do sometimes is to take a tool out of say the kenn. library that is close to what I want, save the geo. file then customize it to what I need.
Then I will use this to help create the custom tool without having to start from scratch.
To be honest with you,(and I ain't afraid to ever look stupid) I didn't even know that Mitsu made lathe tools....
If you use 'rotary axis' on your toolpath, when you backplot the path, you can change settings in bacplot display to:Simulate rotary axis, and say pick the top.
Then the tool should stay on top, and your part turn around it's center.
HTh's
I just tried using 1005 and 1006 and both give me (M00)
I gave up on using this function a while back because of this.
WTF am I doing wrong??
It would be nice to be able to get it working...
And yes,as I am writing,I am getting peed off!!!
I tried 3 diff. posts with the same BS...

They don't taste that much different to begin with... Aahh..
If I recall, isn't this the kind that you brought on the boat?
Course I wouldn't complain.......
My guess is it is a 6T control.
And yes,the X axis may be (-)minus away from the spindle.
A simple post change can fix this.
As far as code goes, basically the same.
But you'll have to prolly use G50's
I have a bunch of Mori's here and if you need help changing the X axis,I can help you.
All good questions to ask.
If it were at my place,I would also have to ask them:
Are you willing to work.
Are you willing to come in everyday.
Are you willing to read blueprints.
How many personal calls will you get per day....
I think you get my drift.
I'm not kidding either!!
I'm not sure if you can do it without breaking it,and I have never needed to do this.
But if it can be done, someone here will be able to tell you.
There is much much knowledgeable people here that are glad to help you.
Just try to be specefic with the questions and it will be easy to get answers.
Also, it would be good for you to read thru the FAQ's to start off on a good foot.
The guys and gals here are a great bunch of people.
BTW David is right but I think it will only work on a 'closed contour'.
Not just 1 line.
No such thing as a 'nice guy'...
Just kidding.
Welcome to the forum.
The chain functions in mastercam can do a lotta different things.
You may want to pick 'partial chain' function to do what you are trying to do.
In this case: click partial chain, pick where you want to start and then where you want to finish.
You can use color mask and all diff. things.
It took me a while to adjust to using the chin functions.
Also you can change the start point and direction as well as dynamically too.
Edit: Hey...why did you change your name allready?
Yea,the other thing I tried to do the other day with an old file was to re-define the stcok (on the 1st. op.)and it would only let me do it if I first deleted the stock flip operation....
