  1. I have found that I can push the coated wire a little faster in thick stuff than uncoated, because it burns faster as del already stated, it also makes the wire a little more stiffer, what can give you a problem threading. Now some manufactures recomend using coated wire on there machines, I know Charmilles use to do that. Bottom line, I agree with del, but maybe you should get a role and play with it a little your self. I do not know what machine you got, but everytime I come across anything called wizard I like to do a little testing myself, I have found that alot of this stuff is for people who do not want to take the time to learn there machine.
  2. nosserøv, I do not hope that is your nick-name around the shop
  3. I tryed all kinds of different things for our fixturing, and I need torque that was right on the money everytime, the Cleco has been great, we also bought this crane systems the gun itself is installed in, that prevent operators to get that jerk in there wrist everytime it torques. I can not believe how exspencive this stuff is up front, but it takes 50% less time to load and unload a tombstone with this system compared to old fashion torque wrenches, and operators do not complain about wrist problems.
  4. Cleco is expensive, but man it works Cleco
  5. NITIN, Post :MPMASTER Controller :What ever you like, code is code HTH Lars
  6. Not much help here, but I can tell you I have had no problems with 8.1.1 and XP PRO
  7. Tell them that you just made there life alot easier, now you will take care of all the thinking when it comes to tool diameters, so they should pay for your coffee the rest of the year
  8. A tweaked MPWFanuc post should put a smile on you face.
  9. I believe this is what you are looking for. code: one_rev : 1 #Limit rotary indexing between 0 and 360? (0 = No, 1 = Yes) HTH Lars
  10. I have different function in my Misc. for the Haas post, but I did the same thing as DC Gorn when it comes to M00, that way I can but a little message why I am stopping here. Lars

  12. +1 to Kannon And welcome to the forum, when you post in the main forum (Without Caps ) I assume you are doing this with .01 wire? Lars
  13. Cool site maestro, Wants me to start a new hobbie. I think you would like the Haas for that type of parts. Lars
  14. I like it, it is a nice "Mini" machine. Ours are around 5 years old, it got a 6000 rpm spindle on it, I have been cutting everything from D2, Aluminium and plastic on this thing. It is not very rigid, with a 5hp motor on it you are pretty limited to heavy cuts, but you will be just fine using 1/2 carbide endmill in steel. 2 things to keep in mind on this machine, you have a limited length on your tools, because of the toolchanger, and the spindle is cooled by your coolant passing by, what means if you have to do any dry machining, you have to have your coolant curcualting. HTH Lars (Sorry about bad spelling)
  15. And do not forget to read Thad's sticky, and PLEASE do not forget to post in it. PS.Welcome to the forum, this is a great place on the net
  16. Thanks for the feedback George, glad you found the solution. Ron, if you ever deside to publish that book, I will pay big $$$$$$
  17. Allright I will correct my statement mcpgmr, Has a good quick way
  18. mcpgmr, might got a good quick way here. You could make your own circle lead in, and then break it in a couple pieces, then just speed the feedrate up as you are leading in. Lars
  19. Troy, I am not sure, if it is it would be a button on you right in your operation manager. It is where you are going to let Mastercam calculate your chip removal rate vers. standard feedrate. It take a little time to setup, but if you want to use different feeds depending on material removal. Anybody want to correct me here, go ahead
  20. I had some porting tools were I was fighting chatter, I did test different holders and found that Schunk was the most rigid, however when I found out how much $$$$$$$ I desided that I would be better of predrill, and use normal holder. To me the price of big plus, I would only use it if I need it, meaning I have to test that I normal holder would not hold up. HTH Lars
  21. Can you use the "highfeed" to do this part? Lars
