  1. There is always soemthign constructive that comes from these threads of course it all realtvie to what are looking to learn from them. It is always good to get ideas what people think and see what they think. I just think it is strange people come here post one or two times when aksing for posts and then you dont see hide nor hair of them again and I have only been here 4 months and seen it better than 20 times easy where as you get the others like yourself that take some much from it I know I have and feel honored to have met all who I have on here. I was not trying to be mean with my last post but life is full of anything a person could want out of it but if you never go and see what it has for you then you never know what it was really meant to be. I guess when you get almost killed at a young age and get told you will be nothing more than a vegatble and never walk again you look at everything different. Crazy Millman
  2. +1 to cycle or I will export from Pro in Step to Solidworks then export as a parasolid and that has given me the best results just make sure you have the same versions from Solidworks to Mastercam. Crazy Millman

  10. Yeah guess I will have to watch my flame attacks huh. Crazy Millman I am wondering are they going to charge us by the post or by the month if that is the case see ya wouldn't want to be ya.
  11. Ok well I never switch the WCS so guess that is why it is like that. Yeah I know I need to but everytime I do it never works right and I just go with what works. Take a look at 7 4TH AXIS.ZIP you will see what I mean if you look at the verify it looks fine but what I had to do to make that work was a whole different story. Crazy Millman
  12. Read the agreement that frist pops up when you install mastercam you in essence are only leasing the software from CNC software you dont own it. Crazy Millman
  13. Have you tried Moore or Someone like that who does this really tight toleracne work. I had a guy working for me back in Florida that use to be a supervior there and he use to talk about the toleracnes all the time. Crazy Millman

  18. What no takers. I mean come on it is such a great deal. I know you are not worried about that breaking the agreement thing that says you only have the right to use Mastercam and not sell it. I can't imagine anyone would really care. I tell you what you dont say nothing I want say nothing. I also heard it comes with free posts for every machine ever made at no extra cost. Crazy Millman
  19. Hey James have you seen it keep the frist one and use it all the way through even though you may be using others or is it just me. Crazy Millman
  20. Here is what I got from the help: quote: Mastercam uses tool profiles during backplot and verification to display the tool. Each tool type included with Mastercam has a corresponding MC9 file containing the profile geometry. You can create custom tool profiles to use in place of the tool profiles provided by Mastercam, or use them to create a custom tool using the Undefined tool type. A custom tool profile must be saved in an MC9 file or on a level in the part file and must meet the following criteria: ¨ Draw the profile in the Top construction plane. ¨ Use only line and arc entities. ¨ Position the lower-left corner at X0, Y0. ¨ The X dimension must equal 1.0 in either metric or inch units. Mastercam can use the same tool profile in either metric or inch units. ¨ Use an open contour to outline half of the tool. ¨ No undercuts are allowed. ¨ Do not include other geometry in the file. Note: Saving the tool geometry on a level keeps the tool with the part file so that if the part file is moved to a different computer the tool geometry goes with it. 1. Choose Main Menu, File, New to start a new MC9 file. 2. Press [F9] to display the system origin. 3. Create the profile geometry starting at the system origin (0,0). Note: The X dimension of the tool radius must be a value of 1. See an example in the following picture. 4. You can optionally save the MC9 file in the C:Mcam9MillTools with the other Mastercam tool profiles or in another directory. 5. Select the MC9 file in the Define Tool dialog box to use as a custom profile. I hope that helps easystroke. Crazy Millman
  21. + on Rekd and you can also set up your post to not output the WCS at every toolchange. I may have 10 different offsets in one program with anywhere from 4 to 20 operation for each one an my post will post them all with no problem and no psot editing required. We will be more than glad to help put up soe msample code and we will try to point you in the right direction. Crazy Millman
