We need to enable sound on this thing I got tons of old waves from the old IRC days when I meet my wife on the internet about 7 years ago. Hey Mick and Bulliness you keep writing them and i will keep using them I appericate the help you give and the knowlegde you share. Crazy Millman

  3. Nope I like them new spangled reach around the corenr bullets. Its the kind that get you where you need to be got. Thne of cousre they get the 100 people around you also. I thinkng of a 16" shell out of a battleship if I got to get out the big guns. Crazy Millman
  4. Thanks David I wil have to keep that in mind the next I am ready to throw the computer through the wall for that problem. Crazy Millman
  5. You can also try about 240 sfm with about .002 to .004 per tooth load with about .025 to .05 depth. If you go slower with the rpm will not have to worry about the work hardening ffect on the material. Be very weary of stress relief in the part and makign it work harden when machining. Crazy Millman Added: You also might want to look at the Highspeed in Mastercam it suppose to do a really good job and help cut down axial loads and impove cycle times. i have only used it about 1/2 dozen time so I dont know much to hel pyou there but if you had questions well you are in the right place for that. 6. I do this all the time no problem on this end. Crazy millman
  7. Yes the Star uses sync code and wait code for doing the main and sub spindles and depeding on the model has side working tools and stationer tools for doing back work on the sub spindle. The codes are pretty straight forward the only thing is the consideration with material being you do appoarch it like a lathe so you dont really do like a complete roughing cycle and finishing you pretty much just finish thing in one cut. Any second ops need to be considered and all other fun things. I would really contact my dealer I am a novice post mod person and would be running to my dealer to get what I need. Edited sitting here remember the fun I had. One thing you weill want to check is your timeing dwell between esch spindle when changing parts out I had to twaek mine to not get them to alarm out on me all the time with over amp. Good Luck Welcome to the Forum Crazy Millman [ 10-08-2003, 10:14 PM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  8. Well good news my customer came back and said i could make it out of acrlyic so all is solved from there I know how to make it optical appericate all the tips guy will ekkp them in mind in the furture thanks. Crazy Millman
  9. +1 carbide endmill to get throug hthe skin then can drill with cobalt then finish with carbide reamer if wanting it to be a tolerance hole. Crazy Millman
  10. Yeah but my concern with that is it leave solvent on the part and this is going in a medical application so the part had t obe like FDA acceptable. I have polished dow nas far as 1500 grit on poly and still not get it to do a optical finish. I have also use buffing compound and found a buffing wheel does ok but destorts the part. I guess I will have to make a mold and shoot it. Ok well such is life just another thing they want tommorrow. CRazy millman feel that ton rock on his back get alittle more added to it.
  11. I have this part that is about 3/4 x 1/2 about .063 in thicnkess with some very carzt details. They want me to polish the machined out surface to a Optic Clear finish any ideas. I can not clear coat it cuase it has have some crazy coating applied to it. It it where freaking cold rolled to Titaium no problem but not had much luekc polisihing this material and hold a tolerance for an optical surface. Crazy Millman
  12. Crazy sits over in the corner and keeps his mouth shut only have about 200 hours to this point in his post and HTML setup sheet wondering why some one would want him to give that time for free? Crazy Millman
  13. sorry May^Day throw up and example and I'll take look and see if I can come up with something. Crazy Millman
  14. Depends on the part. If you want it to that that exact try surface/finish/contuor or try surface/finish/scallop they do really trick toolpaths. I also try to select all my surface from the same side like from the left grabbing the far most left everytime seemd ot help keep them on the same side and avoid having to use offset. Good Luck Crazy Millman
  15. Ok so now to add to this I just got the 9.17 Dll installed and it says this: quote: Also adds a new post function RUNVBS() that loads the Mastercam VBS (Visual Basic Scripting) DLL to provide access to Mastercam VBS variables and routines. (This allows launching a VBS script from a post processor without displaying the Mastercam VBS edit/run dialog.) I am wondering where I can get a better explantion of this and would this apply to this thing we are tryint to get worked out. Been crazy so taking a quick look to see whats up. I will try that REKD thanks again. Look like a got to take real long road trin and get Jimmy, Rick, Roger and Rerk so coffee some time soon. Crazy Millman
  16. Lars Cimco All the Way for Nc and PFFE for windows application and things of that nature. Sound like you have been pointed in the right direction. Crazy Millman
  17. Good Tip James Appericate the insight. Crazy Millman
  18. Frist congrarts on the Senior memeber status. Second you want to take a cut to create a cut like at Z0 then one at say Z-1.0. If so I dont think you can unless you do like a depth cut thing with 1.00 being the depth then having the hole depth goemotry like -1.001 so it will trick mastercam into doing a cut at z0 then a cut at Z-1.001 and I think you could do this with circle mill. 20. No I just take the keys for editing out of the machine and say grow some balls if it crashes you will be the first to know.(not that I in any way want a machine t ocrash far from it) I can understand if it some 22 axis part with 8 dimensional planes using tools that are about 120" long. They dont like ohhhhhhh whaaaaaaaa and here is some klinex to dry your tears is what I would tell them. Crazy Millman [ 10-08-2003, 09:24 AM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  21. Hey I dont keep it behind my seat for no reason you know. LKet me see steel toes boots think I will need about 40,000 rpms about 1200 ipm feed with 3/4 2 flute highhelix endmill. I mgith get a coulpe toes but I promise that plummer will think twcie about messing with a crazy person again. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it. Crazy Millman Here is what I keep behind my seat for them shady people that try to do people wrong:
  22. Yep congrats Murlin been some great advice I appericate it. Crazy Millman to all of the posters in here no matter huge or small the help you can get is what make this place the best place I have found.
  23. That is a hell of a job Jay looks real good. I see you did take out the sharp transitions. i was headed down that road but this Multi_post thing has been my main concern lately. Crazy Millman
  24. Ok Rekd That worked great know I am problay going to get some laughs for this but how do I get it to work propelry over the network. I have called the computer over the network Alpha, Beta, Cappa, and Delta. I think I will have to do a map over the network and kinda create the path to tie it to I am at home so will have to wait till tommorrow and see where it goes from there. I just have to hope that I can get the Mulitpost to say ok these are the right places for these and put the NC program here and then put the HTML setup sheet here. Crazy Millman LoL that is funny we must been sharing the brain about that time about the Map the network thing. [ 10-08-2003, 01:35 AM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
