  1. Ok I love working with the posts think that is very cool. Know learning anohter language like VB that is going to take some time. I can pretty much follw anything Rekd, Mick, Roger, Brian, Gismo, and the other Vb guys put up but without have a developer guide or programs real hard to just strike off from scratch and go buy what I need to do it. That kids a coming needs money and so does the current kid and this great State tax, Insurance helath and car, and fun fun. Crazy Millman Peace out.
  2. Do you have soildworks it will do this very thing I believe been to long and know so little about the program to be sure. Crazy Millman [ 10-17-2003, 02:31 PM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  3. Hey May day you got an echo lol Sorry I couldn't get soemthing back today got this hot job that is cruching toolapth right now been about 50 minuts on this frist one. Ok just finished back to cruching. Crazy Millman
  4. Yeah I mean why worry about smeel and coolant being full of oil that help to keep the machine from rusting right. I gte the remark all the time. I put a PO for a skimmer and they want let me spend the money. We can go buy a $4000 weight system people to use or a $3500 stainless steel refigator for the break room but let me spend $220 dollars on a skimmer. LOL Rekd your is still oil mine usuallt turn to experimens we see will live in jars use yo have about 20 jars on a shelf at one palce to see which one would keep growing outside the chip and coolant rich envoriment. One thing I did like about the VTC series Mazak coolt was seprate from Way oild wya oild drained out the back of the machine not into the coolant tank. Crazy Millman
  5. But the tool with this one it I get 10X length carbide tools all the time from Harvey tool our .0312 have about .350 of reduced shank and then go to .125. I like the standard fulte length of cut then soild carbide over the full length of cut if I dont need it. Crazy Millman www.harveytool.com
  6. Well dude you want the best to do soemthing part time to help and then that it is I think you will find some really talneted people around there can think of Few up that way right now. Me I got a family and work 60 to 70 hours week my part time that is avaible if all family time good luck in your search. Crazy Millman only repond cause he could use the money towards a down payment on a house out here in the county where only 19% of the household incomes can afford a house.
  7. See the Rekd one comes through again is fine fashion. Crazy Millman Bucket he has you on the right path.
  8. Yeah right hell If I am talking to a sales girl that comes through here like an act of congree to get the others guys to let her leave without 100's of stupid questions. Crazy Millman
  9. So deso tihs work good with the Mulit_post in keep in from not erroring out if you do this. Thanks Mick Will give it a try and see what it does. Crazy Millman
  10. James & Roger I was thinking the right way just not doing it the right way I finnally think I can say I got it. Where I didn't have problems with this when doing 5th axis work that would become problem when doing 4th axis work. Where as in 5th axis you can cover many sides of the part with one toolpath in 4th axis you are only really covering one side of the part at a time and the Mastercam program keep everything realtvie to what you tell it to. If you start on the top and then turn to the left you may turn to the left but you really also do some switching of your axis rotation relative to that original postion where as in 5 axis toolpaths the cover the whole part you may be doing work on the side but it all calcuated from the orginal start plane and thus keep all the calucation correct and going to the right plane and axises of rotation. This would realte to soemthing like a 5thaxisflow toolpath that woudl also not need many t-planes and c-planes where as a flowine on the right side of a part being done in a 4th axis would sound the same but worlds apart. Crazy Millman hopes he see the light through all the fog in his mind. [ 10-17-2003, 01:05 AM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  11. Have you checked you viedo accerlation settings on the advacned setting in the control panel. Crazy Millman Also I think there is something mentioned in the tech tips about this also.
  12. Yeah would be nice sometimes. The biggest reason I make everything in soilds or bring it in as solids. Crazy Millman [ 10-17-2003, 12:10 AM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  13. Well I might talk them into shelling out money for it X but might have to wait till XIII or even XX to get that to happen. I keep getting the you need to buy old used equipment why do you want a HSM machine I mean 40 ipm is no problem. What do you mean you don't want to be here 120 hours week and you dont like us telling customers you can do that 8 week job in 8 days. I mean come on suck it up just because we cahnge our mind 10 times a day on what we are going to do and put in 30 to 35 hours a week what is your problem. Ok I need to shut my mouth. I think sums up my wonderful week in pardise. Crazy Millman [ 10-17-2003, 12:15 AM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  14. Do you have the force_wcs on or off in the post. Crazy Millman
  15. Do you mean you are doing multi parts and need the ability to use multi workoffsets. If so go to the toolpane page and put a number in the grey out check box area. Dependign on your post it will be 1=54, 2=55, 3= 56 and so or in our case (modified post) 1=1, 2=2, 3=3 for the fadals. If not give us a better idea and we will tackle it head on. Crazy Millman
  16. Hey Rekd 1900 that much closer to 2000 congrats bud. I am working on a post for the fadal that will allow you to do both subroutines as well as sub and I need a swtich for the sub_call that will require 2 sub-calls one that is the way it currently is then the other for the sub routines all the calls all the placement everything will need a switch control as well as if then equation at everyplace I need it to work properly. I also have already figured out how ot make all the fixed subroutines t owork wit hthis post and all canned cycles that work on a fadal. I can do the serilaztions routines as well as pocket rectangle/cicrle as well as bolt circle so now if I can get the subroutines working I can see some major advatagnes in keeping everything in one program format verse the mulit subprogram format and then other time I can where the other has it advantage. Crazy Millman Ps you calling me slow or what? [ 10-16-2003, 11:38 PM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  17. Well you can make it defalut for all if you dont mind the extra moves all the time. code: pretract #End of tool path, toolchange sav_absinc = absinc absinc = zero # for G53 move - not incremental sav_coolant = coolant coolant = zero #cc_pos is reset in the toolchange here cc_pos = zero gcode = zero pcan pcan1, pbld, n, sccomp, psub_end_mny, e #(This line was also changed for the Fadals) pbld, n, *sg91, sgcode, "G28", "Z0.", e #(This is what it should be for Fadals) #pbld, n, sgabsinc, sgcode, "G53", "Z0", e #(This needed to be changed) #pbld, n, "G28", "X0.", "Y0.", protretinc, e #if abs(cabs) > 360 & nextop <> 1003, pbld, n, 'G28', protretinc, e pcan2 absinc = sav_absinc coolant = sav_coolant Where I have the # at the pbld, n, g28 X0,Y0 just take out the # and it will do it every time now if you want ot be real slick you can put a if then for a mi6 and if you use the misc then it will put it in the program if you dont then it just like you have it. I know the theory but havign troublew getting the mi to work the way I want on soemthing else. I know one of the gru's will problay tell you in 2 sec but I have to play for hours and kinda doing about 10 things tonight so I will take another look this weekend if you dont get anything from someone esle cause if I can figure it I think I have got a trick post up my sleeve. Crazy Millman
  18. It should do it have you tried taking out the comma. Here is what my program post out. code: M98P9002L1 M1 (TOOL PLANE 1) M61(UNLOCK) G0X.999Y-.55Z3.25A45. M60(LOCK) M98P9002L1 M1 (TOOL PLANE 1) M61(UNLOCK) G0X.999Y-.55Z3.25A90. M60(LOCK) M98P9002L1 M1 (TOOL PLANE 1) M61(UNLOCK) G0X.999Y-.55Z3.25A135. M60(LOCK) M98P9002L1 M1 (TOOL PLANE 1) M61(UNLOCK) G0X.999Y-.55Z3.25A180. M60(LOCK) M98P9002L1 M1 Here is the way it looks in the post: code: psub_call_s #Call to sub level result = nwadrs(strp, sub_prg_no) sub_prg_no = sub_prg_no + sav_progno + 1000 #Add sub number offset if sav_progno = sub_prg_no, result = mprint(sprgnerror) pbld, n, "M98", *sub_prg_no, "L1", e I hope that helps. 19. What about the mi10 that does the M00 before the operation why would that not work Hascta? all Mpmasters have this. As far as going home you can also use the Ref position found on the paramter page to do this couldn't you. I may be wrong and if I am Dave or Someone from emastercam will corretc me but they did the mi10 for the M00 because they were looking for the canttext to work a different way with their post. 20. You can also use the Screen copy to clipboard and then past in a paint or other program and print the full model on the screen or just part of it if zoomed in. the Forum: Crazy Millman [ 10-16-2003, 10:08 PM: Message edited by: Millman^Crazy ]
  21. Cool Kevin so you getting to do the 5 axis stuff yet. Looked like a neat place you went to. Cool you got all going good and able to be back in the saddle again. Crazy Millman
  22. Are they something you can get others part that are easily got and make them fit. I would go on Thomas Register web site and put way covers in and see what you come up with. Crazy Millman
  23. Well nothing ventured nothing gained and it is all realtvie to how you apporach it. Do what I did at my last job they had a 5 axis machine I went in and said if I cant do the job you fire me. I went in and in one day I got my point across and was hired right there never done 5th axis before but I showed them I could and I did. Crazy Millman
  24. Seems strange your dealer didnt get your post dialed in on your machine that you making the parts on. Crazy Millman
  25. Ripper if doing simple 2d shape write yourself a macro program to do this or you could make yourself 3d line in a zig-zag pattern and then it would do the same thing just a thought. Crazy Millman
